Not being ranked at this point almost seems like an agenda

Is being played out…
How on earth are we not ranked? Seriously.
Writers and pollsters across the country hated how we’ve dominated football along with bama. This almost seems coordinated.

It’s called having a coach with a Christian based faith in today’s society.

Anyone who has watched the 'moral decline' of Disney (i.e., the corporate owner of ABC and ESPN) from its original family-programming entity into its current front-and-center promoter of the speciously labelled "social justice" movement would understand that a component of bowlhunter's post is true.
There are other factors in under-rating Clemson at this point in the season, despite being MANIFESTLY BETTER than several teams at the bottom of the ... ah, er 'Top 25.' Financial interest in the SEC's success, and secondarily in the big-market B1G conference plays a huge role in the anti-ACC bias which also consequently diminishes any honest recognition of Clemson's football merits.
But as Mark Twain said, it's easier to fool someone than to convince him that he is a fool.
So therefore those that want to believe the (again, speciously named) "social justice" agenda are blind to the facts about how that movement hurts the 'racial groups' that are supposedly benefitting from it. Even worse, most of the white people who support the "social justice" agenda are privately suffering from phobias about the 'racial minorities' to which they are so desperately attempt to virtue-signal.
Most of the "social justice" crowd hates Christianity, and therefore the "social justice" crowd does not like overtly Christian public figures like Dabo. Disney / ESPN hates Christianity because their "social justice" credentials dictate that, and therefore Dabo's teams will get short-shrift by big business sports media.

Please repeat your gibberish about persecution of Christians and rambling social theories in an appropriate forum. This is a football board and you are speaking nonsense.
Our offense has been comically bad and half of our projected starters coming out of last season are gone. This roster is a shell of our playoff teams. Realistically, we are lucky to only have three losses.
Fortunately, we have 2 more games to prove where we should be ranked.

I agree with so much of what you've written, but we have to keep in mind just how biased were the media in our favor at the beginning of the year. Even though we got spanked in the playoffs, they had us ranked at 3 pre-season and the Heisman was DJs to lose. Then, after the USA game, we made them look like fools for having supported us.

Actually you are proving the point. You are offended that anyone would say that religion can be a polarizing subject. Most people outside Clemson either really like Dabo or really dislike him and much of the reasoning is due to his outspoken Christian beliefs. I tend to think that there are as many people who like Dabo because of his Christian beliefs as dislike him so it balances out, but it is a debatable point which is what LBB said in a nut shell.

The Tigers just hasn’t had a blow out game all year until this weekend. The wins have been “just barley” and so have the loses. Not a single win ALL YEAR by a convincing score. The FSU win by ten points was the most convincing win all year. ALL of the others came down to the final snap in the game. If you can’t beat a GT or a BC at home by more than six points you don’t deserve to be ranked. We could all be upset because the team lost eight games. And they came TO close to doing that. My opinIon,
Tigers will be ranked this week after they finally got rolling.

Georgia’s 10-3 curb stomping of currently unranked Clemson is apparently very convincing.

If you go by these computer rankings we are 24th. If you go past the top 25 to others receiving votes we would be 26th and 27th in the AP and Coach's poll. That's not a drastic difference.
With an elite defense and a sub par offense we are a danger to beat anyone above us and in danger of losing to anyone below us. It makes it hard to say where we should fall. I think that we should be a little higher, but now we are in the ballpark. Last week when we were not even in the others receiving votes category the outrage was justified, now we are picking at straws.

Arkansas? Probably not cause they are in the S She She. Aside from UGA, never seen so many pillow fights in that mighty conference. UF, LSU and Auburn suck just for starters. Bama is definitely weaker. Don’t get me started on the rest.

Not going to the playoff A ranking doesn’t have anything to do with needing some help to get into the ACCCG Already a 14-point fave vs the dirt peckers It doesn’t add any points to any game we play
Why does anyone care????

I agree with word, but don't think there's some agenda. If so other programs would be targeted. Why Clemson? Just thing out terrible offensive play happened too many times and was just too bad. To support my argument, see how we were still highly ranked after the Georgia game. The plummet really happened after Ga tech I believe. That's when everyone was like, "wait, something is REALLY wrong with Clemson" Then we've never been able to get their attention enough and turn around the narrative

You forgot that most people on this site have moaned and groaned about how bad we have been. We finally had more players against Wake and looked like Clemson. Take rankings now and $2 and you can get a cup of coffee at Starbucks but if we finish 10-3 we will be Top 20 in the final rankings and if it is 11-3 we will be Top 12.

No where, it doesn’t exist, just like the more players available against Wake didn’t exist.

Just compare the pre season rankings with end of season rankings.
The narrative all year has been “Clemson is down”. So our ranking has been down.
We are ranked below teams that’ve been beat soundly by other teams. We have 3 losses to ranked teams, maybe the “best loss” in the country to UGA, as nobody else has come close. We also have a top 10 win.
It’s the narrative holding down our ranking. I’m sure Dabo will use this.

as if there is a narrative from the media. I seem to recall hearing that if Clemson loses to Georgia in the first game, they are OUT. Period. No way they can make the CFP. When Bama lost to unranked A&M, no such talk. In fact, they are #2. Ohio State loses. No biggie. ND loses, no biggie. And now they even talk about if Bama loses to Georgia that they should STILL be in with TWO loses.
why, it's almost as if eSECpn has an agenda.

People do not like Clemson ...
Nov 22, 2021, 7:00 PM
|
|
I asked my wife the same thing and she used to be a big liberal until she got a her teacher's cert and taught in the Public Schools ...
She says tt all goes to the days before desegregation and all that. A buddy who went to Colgate, and now is an assistant AD at a major NE "prestigious" University is ignorant as heck. "I don't know why you like that Redneck, good 'ol boy school...". He is a total a-hole. Lots of people have the same perception. Never visited the area ... when you have a fine Lebanese Bakery/Cafe in Pendleton that rivals and surpasses the same thing in NYC you are not a backwater ... these people are truly the ignorant ones.
