Bribing troublemakers to stop certain acts is poor policy. Once you shut off the funds, it's important to make sure they can't act on their threats. I don't know if we'll keep them from getting nuke capabilities forever, but it makes us safer for now. If intelligence pointed to an eminent attack you had to act. If not, you may have strengthened their resolve. Long term can you keep them from nukes long enough to change their minds, methods or leadership?

Iran has been the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism. This support includes: Providing arms, training, and financing to groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and other militant groups in the Middle East, and that includes those responsible for the 9/11 attacks on the US. Using its Islamic Revolutionary Guard to provide support to terrorist organizations, provide cover for associated covert operations, and create instability in the region. Supporting militant groups in Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, the Palestinian Territories, and Yemen. Facilitating the movement of funds and fighters for terrorist groups through its territory. Being responsible for numerous deadly attacks, including those originating from Gaza and the West Bank.
No one hides uranium enrichment facilities that are solely used for civilian energy purposes deep inside a mountain. No one refuses to allow UN inspectors into uranium enrichment facilities that are solely used for civilian energy purposes. No one enriches uranium to 60% if the enriched uranium is being used solely for civilian energy purposes (for most nuclear power reactors, uranium only needs to be enriched to a concentration of 3% to 5%).
I think most will agree that a world where Iran does not have nuclear weapons capabilities is a much safer place.

This is a very dishonest and manipulative question. Iran isn't developing nuclear weapons, Tusli Gabbbard, who was appointed by Trump, testifies that they're not. Trump said despite the information that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons, he doesn't care. I'm not surprised to see that conservatives are falling for this nonsense just like they did with the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

So Isreal is wrong, Saudi is wrong, Qatar is wrong? Plus in March Tulsi said they were enriching weapons grade uranium. I believe she misspoke or did not understand the question last month as she has said the opposite previously.

They absolutely could be wrong. They could be right too. You don't know and I don't know unless you've got clearance to conversations and evidence the general public doesn't.
But, what I find myself coming back to is this....why appoint people to the positions you put them in if you're not going to lean on their expertise and intel?
This whole thing is a cluster you know what. I wish I could buy into everything is fine but, as Buffalo Springfield quote in "For What It's Worth":
"There's something happening here But what it is ain't exactly clear"
Legit - these lyrics are the definition of what we are going through at the moment. Here it is for those who want a moment to listen and reflect.

Talk about dishonest and manipulative wording....
Tulsi was one official who said they werent, ONE. So why are you going on her statement as iron clad, never evolving statement of truth. Its because you are allowing your politicial ideation and hatred for "the other party" led you into an echo chamber
You need uranium enriched to about 3-5% for power plant use You need uranium enriched to about 20% for medical/research use
They had hidden bunkers (why hidden if its above board) and enriched uranium to about 60% or 3x the non-military use. They have been trying for decades to obtain a nuclear weapon. Why do they need uranium enriched to 60% if not for a potential weapon. The ~60% comes from the IEAE
There are world leaders everywhere who acknowledge their mission to obtaining a nuclear weapon, and nearly all world leaders acknowledge Iran must never have one
UK, Germany & France joint statement: “This is a serious development since the production of highly enriched uranium constitutes an important step in the production of a nuclear weapon,” calling Iran’s enrichment “provocative” with “no credible civilian need.”
French FM: Urged a “substantial and durable rollback” of Iran’s nuclear programme to prevent it from gaining the capability to produce weapons‑grade fissile material.
According the IEAE (made up of reps from 30 countries) said "The IAEA warned that "no country has enriched to this level without eventually producing nuclear weapons", calling it a serious concern "
The IEAE cited that from Feb 2025 to March 2025 Iran had increased its enriched uranium by 50%, in one month. Iran had also removed surveillance cameras and slowed inspections, and curtailed access by the IEAE. This led to the IEAE no longer being able to continually monitor their program
So take all that, quotes from other world leaders, reports from an International body highlighting the dangerous situation, Iran hiding their program from view and as the cherry on top already having uranium enriched 3x the civilan level needed and you want to cite Tulsi Gabbard as the primary source. I think the person who is misleading is you misleading yourself.

The answer is yes it’s good. Taco doesn’t like being called taco so he proved he doesn’t always chicken out. I have no problem with them being bombed. Their leaders are evil and I wish we could take them out too along with their facilities. This may or may not start a war. I’m not sure. I am afraid there are going to be terrorist strikes that kill innocent Americans somewhere. Hopefully not on US soil. Those people are crazy AF and will die with a bomb strapped on themselves for their crazy religion.

Let's say they didn't have nukes or weren't close to having nukes. Everyone knows they are doing everything they can to produce them. They told us that they would destroy Israel and the USA over and over again. These Iranian leaders hate us and Israel. If they had the firepower we have they would destroy us today.
