I remember SOS saying last week that he was a good athlete. I figured right then that he was sending this kid along his away. Hey, at least he gave him the "he could make a good wr" plug. The toll mounts...

Wasn't he the only running QB on their roster?
That dimension has been a huge factor for them the last few years.

Don't know his position but Cooper is the one who threw the ball to Shaw last year in the last score. It was painful to watch unfold on tv.

That’s right…Forgot about that play, but I really don’t care to remember it any way…lol..
I believe I’m right and Cooper is their wildcat QB…If so, he and that formation are only good for a couple plays per game and that doesn’t really concern me.
Sure, sometimes you might get burnt for a score like we did last year, but the wildcat is mostly just a gimmick and a minor nuisance..It’s way too one-dimensional and I just couldn’t see Spurrier turning to it for entire games….If he does, that’s a sure sign they’re in trouble.
On the other hand, a legit running QB like a Connor Shaw is a major headache and I think this Nosovitch kid was similar to him, or perhaps a poor man’s version of him anyway. If Thompson or whoever their #2 guy is doesn’t work out, I could see Spurrier turning to a guy like him for an entire game or two, just because he has both that run/pass element to his game.
Now that Nosovitch is transferring, I think a running QB will no longer be a part of SC’s gameplan other than the occasional wildcat play with Cooper. That could be a major relief to a lot of DC’s who have had to prepare for that the last few years with Shaw.

He got passed on the depth chart by a true freshman and a walk on. Spurrier put him on special teams last year and was trying him at tight end at camp because he's a real good athlete. Spurrier told him that he wanted him to stay and play tight end but I think the kid wants to go somewhere he can play QB but he's going to think it over before he makes his final decision.
Blue, unfortunately, didn't get his appeal from admissions and will be going somewhere else.

Well that's a scary thought. It would be him or the true freshman Scarneccio, the completely unknow kid that played at a small high school that Spurrier offered when he worked out at one of the camps (Drew Barker was the only QB we were going after but he committed to Kentucky). He has been really impressive in what few reps he's been getting.

Why would Spurrier want a 5'11 TE?
That makes no sense.

The Coots are loaded at the QB position ?
Then why is Thompson still listed as their starter ....surely they have a better option to run out the on Aug 29th.

Auto correct because I hit 9 instead of the letter o. Point still stands. Right now, watson has more potential but Thompson is currently the best QB on either roster.

I'd take Stoudt and DW over Thompson. Thompson has never impressed me including his game against Clemson. Our worst defense in years and he threw 3 balls right to our defenders which were all dropped.
