Bet your #### that he's playing up this underdog...

theme to motivate his team and hoping to make our players complacent. They beat a pretty good VT team. You can't let up against anyone.
The Tigers need to go out there and play to the same level as they did against FSU. Be consistent.
GO TIGERS!

Syracuse is playing better, got a new system on offense in place than from last few years, & pretty sure one of those teams that invested alot of time in the offseason to prepare for this game. I expect just like so far this season we get their best shot. Hopefully CDS & Co. have a good gameplan in place, the team comes out ready to play, the crowd comes out ready to rock the Valley, & when it's all said & done, we're sitting @ 9-0 after the final whistle.
GO TIGERS!

Im sure he is telling his team that they have no chance in Hades of beating Clemson. I'm sure Dabo is expecting the 'Cuse to come into the Valley and lie down for an a$$ kicking. Yea, right!

They are a dangerous team and certainly have a shot to win.

If they are so dangerous, why only one good win? And losses to Notre Dame, Wake Forest, and South Florida. And a blowout loss to Louisville, a team Clemson beat.
No. If Clemson plays their best, I see a blowout. The Syracuse defense will not be able to stop the Tigers. And if the Clemson defense is up to snuff, the Orange qb will be squished into orange juice.

You're right we should have no problems at home beating them. If we are the true #2 team in the nation this game should be a cakewalk. But the Cuse is buying into what the new coaches are selling. They are playing much better than the beginning of the season a sign of good coaching. So I look for a little challenge early on but just our talent alone will make this a 2 TD win.

I like all the coaching upgrades in the ACC last year actually. If we could get new ones at Louisville and NCST then we would be in business.

Hope Dabo doesn't have the same plan as 2015 SU

Lets get a huge lead and then put in the backups. We were rolling last year and then put in Kelly Bryant on the 3rd drive. He proceeds to fumble deep in our own territory. 1 play later it was a 1 score game. Completely changed the momentum.
If Babers thinks he needs a sling shot and a rock, lets run all over them and crush all rocks into small grains of sand before we slow down. Don't give them any hope.

Agree, you have to watch Babers he's an outstanding coach offensive mind. I think this will be a tough out for our defense early on. Hope to see us put the throttle down on offense. Plus we're a better team when we play tempo instead of that slow stuff.

"Awww shucks, we're just happy to get on the field with a team as fast and powerful as Clemson. Hope nobody gets hurt!"
and he came to town with every intention of winning the dang game.
Nice try, Dino. I like you!

Coaches like Dino are why the ACC is on the way UP
Nov 4, 2016, 11:03 AM
|
|
The coaches that were added this past off season have strengthened the ACC. Marquee names and just plain old good football coaches to a league that was growing better every year will only spur on the growth of this league. The ACC is already reaping the benefit of Babers hire. The locker room speech after the upset of VT is already a must see moment. I hope he and the Cuse go on to do good things but I do not want to be the reason of another VT like locker room celebration.

smoke up you know what. Syracuse will bring all the have like everyone else. If you don't bring your "A" game then look what happened to Ohio St. with Penn State. If you cant be motivated the rest of the way for every game left then don't dress out.

Complimenting the opponent and downplaying your team is normal, but this presser is wierd. He spent 10 minutes commenting on how pitiful his athletes are in glowing fashion. He seems to be happy about what uncoordinated scout team slugs he has that will take the field on Sat. Remember team, "When the going gets tough... Quit."
