I’m no rocket genius, but wouldn’t one have to put together a plan, with a vision to make the BOT & AD confident in funding said plan/vision???
What has Brad put together? Dabo got a team of folks to help him put together the new football facilities, stadium enhancements, social media team, etc.

that the program needs more money. In the last year, Neff has approved an increased budget for assistants and additional facility upgrades.
So maybe Brad does have a vision and can sell it. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.

So to the previous point, look at it as an investor. If you were going to invest in someone and a product or company they were pitching, you would want them to articulate the vision and plan. I think the actions of our athletic department and BOT show that Brad has not been able to do that. The old saying, actions speak louder than words. If Brad had a a clear plan and vision and articulated it, then it would be an easy sell to the BOT. Would you give someone millions of dollars if they couldn’t articulate a clear boson and how to get there? I think the results and lack of funding prove that point. We haven’t fired
Brad because he runs a clean program and keeps the NCAA away, “and we don’t need that smoke around the football program” was a quote from someone close to the situation. Complain all you want about a lack of investment in bball, but Brad is the only one to blame.

funds via results - like Dabo did. They were both paid the same salary their first year here. One climbed the mountain and turned us into a national power, continuing to set records for winning consistency. The other turned 3-straight NCAA's to 3 in 13 years and continues to show no evidence of having improved in any area of the job, other than his with his salary which is not commensurate with his team's performances.

Brownell is clearly happy with the pay and no one is forcing us to pay more. So the salary is right for him. We could probably pay him less…no one is threatening to steal him away for the same or more.
So unless your argument is that Brownell isn’t trying hard because he only gets x million a year, then you must want him fired to pay some big name to come to Clemson. Or maybe you want to arbitrarily reduce the money we invest in football recruiting to make you feel better?

JK why should they spend money when the coach doesn’t know how to coach a team up. Should have been fired years ago. Cut the basketball budget, he doesn’t know how to recruit quality players.

doesn’t mean he can’t coach a team up.
We just won 20+ games and finished third in the ACC, in a season when we were picked to finish 11th. That is coaching them up.
Our AD, BOT, and major donors all believe in him, while you don’t. They all recognize that our basketball program needs better funding, while you don’t. But you know more than they do, right?

We get picked to finish 11th or below every year during Brad's tenure except for the post sweet 16 year! That in and of itself is a sign of how bad his recruiting and performance is. Spinning that as a positive is just ridiculous. We have barely been ranked during his stay here and every time we squeak into the top 25 look out. We are going to go into a multi game funk. The bads this season unfortunately evened out the goods. If we barely make the NCAA next year and get smacked first round I still hope he is gone. But I doubt we will even make it. Time for the next coach.

Well all that funding did was result in a top 10/11 recruiting class that you said was below average and I’m paraphrasing but basically was not impressive. So is it important or not? The results didn’t seem to impress you. Also you mentioned it’s embarrassing that our coach is paid less that our football recruiting budget… Alabama’s is also higher than their coaches salary, is that embarrassing?

You see, I don’t care if people disagree with me about Brad. I don’t have him on a pedestal, and I don’t think he is perfect.
He’s not a great recruiter and I don’t always agree with some of his decisions. I’ve posted these critiques many times.
But I do think he’s a good coach who has a really tough job. It’s too bad many of you don’t see that, but that’s your right.
Meanwhile, anything less than glowing about Dabo is not allowed here.

That is where you are wrong. We criticize issues with the football team and coaching. I think Dabo is a great coach but far from perfect. You just call us all cultists without hearing anything we say. I already have a wife that does that same thing.

that's probably close, but IMO you have to include NIL spending even though it's not "recruiting expenses" for the school.......it has a massive effect.
That's like saying (hypothetically) that UGA and Clemson bring in the same amount of football Revenue, but don't include the Conference dollars per year that each school gets..........that gap is rather large for SEC schools compared to ACC.
so to me.........that list is a little misleading.
