I don't think you're a jerk but I think Kvonn would have been drafted he's played well in spurts and finished games off with clutch turnovers and tackles a few times. He and Muse get so much flack from Clemson fans when in reality it's just the scheme Clemson uses that requires them to be on islands against the opponents best wrs in alot of situations, alot more than most other teams safeties are asked to.

SSN-Tiger® "That Part"! Many a poster don't understand sometimes just b/c a player was 1st one on the scene after an apparent busted coverage; doesn't mean it was their fault. Often times they cover other players mistakes who were out of position!
But, great news! K'von I thought was very solid back there. I never worried about his play. He made plays back there all season! I think people just remember a few times when Coach V had to get on him about "not being in position b/c he let his eyes misguide him"! But, that wasn't often! He's far more reliable and a playmaker than he isn't and will only get better for coming back!

Exacty...a lot of people just look at the play and the yards and not the situation. Bet they weren't complaining about Muse stopping Tua 1 yard short of that 1st down when he finally ran it out on 4th down.
Even though he did gain about a dozen yards or whatever, the point was the plan was to stop him before the yellow line and bait him into anything short of it... And yet some people will still just see that as the guys missing an assignment or a lack of talent.

Well, he certainly think play one more year of Clemson football is a better option. And it should be the case for most college players.

I know he had some circumstances outside of football that had a major influence on his decision, and this is not to bash Van, but K'Von has a much better shot to play in the NFL than Van Smith did.
Van left early with almost no chance to get drafted so to assume leaving early is not an option for anyone on Clemson's team is foolish. All of these guys think they are good enough. The decision comes down to when they want to leave.

The secondary will be fun to watch next year even with departure of Mullen. Returning the entire 2 deep of safeties and Charleston, Booth, and Jones look like immediate contributors. I expect McMichael and Goodrich to make major strides over the spring and fall camps.

Yep. Well said, I think we’re going to need some one to step up and take leadership. That’s the only thing I see that could be lacking- senior leadership. He can play a huge role with that.
