On a more practical note, that was on 60 Minutes or something similar a ways back. White South African farmers were being attacked, murdered, and raped. I am not sure what the scoop is with these folks though. Maybe they were farmers?

You may well be remembering a piece on what happened in Zimbabwe when, in 2000, it's govt decided to accelerate taking away farmland from experienced farmers to give it to people with no clue about farming which ultimately led to no food being farmed and mass starvation which has left the country a shell of its former self. The same process is starting now in SA and you'd have to be either extremely naive or clueless to think the outcome will be any different. Many Zimbabwe farmers were murdered and many SA farmers have been and will continue to be as well.

The Anglican/Episcopal church migration service has refused a govt directive to help resettled these folks citing its "commitment to racial justice and reconciliation " . They feel so strongly they shouldn't help white migrants they are ending their decades long partnerhip with the govt. It is wrong, but maybe the black people were already working on the farms and know how to farm? I have never farmed. The real issue is that the white farmers families are subject to r*pe, murder, robbery, and beatings. I bet the farming can be figured out. I can see why they would want to flee the country though. They can take their money and selves elsewhere where they are safe .

This same scenario has already played out in Zimbabwe where murdered or ran off all the farmers and gave their land to people who had no idea what to do with it which resulted in mass starvation and the collapse of their society. Will SA murder or run off all of its farmers yet have the foresight to then give the land to highly knowledgeable farmers in waiting who just need huge plots of farmland to successfully manage? I suppose it's possible but I wouldn't bet on it.

I just read a piece where Zimbabwe is paying out 2.5 billion to white farmers whose land was siezed. Now do those white farmers need to pay out a portion to the original black farmers that they stole the land from in the first place?

It's always been one of the best parts about our nation. I'm glad Trump is bringing them in; we should do this regardless of skin color or nationality.
So I have no problem with it at all.
Where the problem lies is the fact that Trump and very Trumpkins losing their minds in this thread have demonized refugees from other nations simply because of race. Yep, that's it. And you ####### know you are. THIS one upsets you because they're white. But the others? Nah, you don't have a problem throwing them in cages or having their kids stripped from them or sending them off to detention center holes.
