There isn’t really anything left for him to accomplish. He’s had a great career and probably wants to enjoy retirement.

Yes, but add that he hated the current state of basketball - the players showing no loyalty and jumping from one team to another. People of our age don’t agree and don’t think it is right. Sure, the odd man who is buried and leaves to drop a division and play. But not simply because they did not get their way and snowflakes out.
I read 1100 in transfer portal.
Great coach and seems to be great man.
Coach K, Beiheim, Roy, Miami , FSU coaches will leave soon.

Hard job. Huge personal expectations. Different students. It shows on Coach Brownell. New kind of men playing game and too much ch “give and take”. Shoot, lived in KS for much of his tenure there. Just a great guy. Ran on campus at noon and was truly part of faculty and staff. Beloved.

In my opinion, which means nothing to you guys, Roy’s retirement was brought about because of the very, very dumb rules regarding the portal and the even more stupid rule regarding likeness and imageing! I can’t blame him because this will DESTROY college sports as we know it!
