on here. Not sure if I would need to use the adult version or the one for preschoolers. And maybe add a personality test for all those who have posted about how easily they are embarrassed and how easily they are angered!

Will it be an open note test? I really don't want to think.

Nope- everyone will have to rely on whatever gray matter that is left intact within their skull.

and this is a super easy one, the arrows are rotating -135 degrees and moving one column to the left, the black circles are doing the same, just moving one column to the left, could be rotating?. The concentric cubes, the same, rotating 45 degrees, or even -135 degrees, and moving one column to the left. If you can not answer and explain this in under a minute, 10 seconds for some, your IQ is likely under 110

Do we just remove the “1” and go with the other two digits?

3 guys rent a motel room for 30$ and split the cost. The hotel manager realizes he overcharged them by 5$, and sends the bellhop up to return the money to them. He gives them 1$ each, and keeps a 2$ tip for himself. If each guy paid 9$, plus 2$ for the tip, where did the extra dollar go?

There is no "extra dollar". The $9 each man paid included the tip.
This also isn't a logic test. It's just basic misdirection based on an intentionally incorrect framing.

Unscorable may be better word. If you don't miss any questions they have no idea what the upper limit is. But there are all kinds of intelligence tests. That one was largely based on sequences and pattern recognition, e.g. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 what's next kind of questions. And images that get progressively more complex. Others are how quickly can you assemble 3-D puzzles etc., analogies (which is biased because of vocabulary, not just seeing relationships). When he was in the Air Force, my Dad got a certificate from the Miller Analogies Test saying he had the highest score in the World at that time.

Exactly, IQ is mostly logic-based problems, pattern recognition. I tested off the chart on the 3D puzzles and patterns. As far as success in life, a good work ethic high emotional intelligence will take you further than being able to multiply 171x87 in your head.

I would assume that I would test lower (maybe significantly lower) than I did when I was in school. I just don’t think my brain gets the exercise that it used to. I can’t remember when or if, I took an IQ test but it was probably as a child. As an adult, the company I worked for had about 35 of us go through a multi-day exercise to determine our strongest skills. I was the only person in the group whose top strength was flexibility. A lot of the people in the exercise tried to manipulate their answers and results to show high in things like leadership and motivation but I was about 50 years old and didn’t have anything to prove. I also knew myself well by that time and was able to be totally honest in the exercise. Many in the group were surprised to see my results but I wasn’t at all. After all I was the only person in the group that had relocated 8 times in 20 years and had worked in 10 different facilities for that company. I believe that skill has served me well in many aspects of my life.

Actually, the skill I scored highest in was adaptability. Pretty much the same as flexibility but I used the wrong word. See what I mean about my brain….
