Let's NIL this man to get him the value of the truck, or rent, back.
He's responsible for our last two wins and gave us breathing room in the others.

Same thought
There has to be a dealer somewhere who can make this happen

Some auto dealer or a brand like Ford could make a fantastic commercial out of this story. They could boost sales to all football fans, and it would be more memorable than most of junk they run. He’s headed to New York, all he needs is a little help to be a hit on Madison Avenue.
Thanks, and good luck Jonathan!
Go Tigers!

So Weitz had to sell his truck in order to pay his rent on an empty apartment in NYC while he realized his almost-forgotten dream to kick for Clemson. Talk about a guy who not only should not have had to sell his truck, but in the age of up-front paying college players, he should have been paid to kick field goals by our NIL collective. I mean, right? When it became apparent in the Duke debacle that Gunn was not going to be another Potter (to say the least!), what in the world would we have done if (1) somebody hadn’t realized that Weitz had a year of eligibility left and (2) he was willing to put his NY career on hold (and his employer agreed) to bail us out. For me, he deserves the Chase Brice Award. Forever Special Tigers, those guys.

Weitz didn't exactly grow up poor. He attended a private high school in Charleston that costs $31,500/year just for tuition.

Maybe so, but it sounds like he's making it on his own now. Kudos to him.

My first job out of school was in textiles. I worked with fabric designers in Manhattan who were middle aged men who neither drove nor owned cars. It was amazing to me since my first big purchase was a new car. Parking, insurance, etc in NYC is very expensive

It's expensive and you don't really need a car in the city. Public transportation goes everywhere and it's often faster than driving.

Good luck in your career Jonathan and thank-you for your contribution to Clemson. You are correct about not needing a truck in NY for one reason, some gang would probably steal it. Be alert on that subway.

Dabo .... supposedly has an “in” with a local Toyota dealer so let’s see how this plays out, I can see it being a real promotional hit for some local guys,

Success … you have a serious problem.
He sounds exactly like a Clemson man …. And I can’t praise him any better than that.
We will hear from him again!

Unbelievable Weitzey wasn't getting any NIL money. Pretty ironic but Gunn is one our highest paid players with over 250k annually. 😵💫😵🥴. Go Tigers!!!
