Had to chuckle or cry at one of CNN's exit polls. Among people who say that shared religious beliefs are important, Trump won (barely). This is a man who clearly does not know anything about religion, but is pretending to win an election. And it is completely obvious. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad.

people of my beloved State dumb and gullible. Clemson University is in my State, so is the Holy City with Engineers and doctors that rival those in any other city in the world. SC is politically gullible when it comes to supporting a reasonable Rep. slate, but my neighbors and friends join me in loving where we live.

I sure don't - this is not isolated to backwoods dullards. And it's way stronger than anybody imagines.
My moment of stark realization came earlier this week when the office liberal hippie chick proudly proclaimed to me that SHE was voting for Trump. This was unprovoked - I was just walking by and had NEVER brought up politics around her (because scared). If there was ever a Hillary lock of the century, she was it. She's the multiple bumper sticker type, the one who has HR on speed dial to register perceived sexism, the kind who cries when they kill the wasp nest by the front door instead of "moving it" (her idea) because those are nature's creatures too........but she's a Trump gal now.
