I was saying the same thing earlier in the game. Why not kick it in the end zone and have them start on the 25. The ball was caught around the 30 and after the lateral, the guy picked up extra yardage and got a 5 yd penalty on top of it.

Well that requires actually being able to kick it out of the end zone. On their return for TD he took it out from 8 yards deep.

Changes MUST be made in special teams. They have been the elephant in the room all year. Now we can no longer ignore them. If Pearman is truly responsible for coaching special teams, something must change. We would have been ahead by three additional touchdowns had it not been for our horrendous special teams play. All trick and no treat.

Not a coach but, Why run the ball like we did with our last drive? Defense just got off field after defending 8-10play series. To me you play to give your defense a breath, knowing they would have to defend the last attack of a desperate wolf pack.
Feel free to explain

Playing the odds. It's statistically almost impossible to score 15 points in under 2 minutes with zero timeouts remaining. The odds of the sequence of events needed for that to happen were less than the odds of a pick-6, sack/fumble, or other disastrous play that can result from passing the football inside your own 20.

If Pearman is somehow still the special teams coach, then it is certain that he possesses incriminating photos of Dabo. Why not hire a high school coach who is good at special teams--pay him a lot less and get a lot more. Or, just accept that we cannot defend kickoffs and kick all of them out of bounds--then there is no 100 yard return or lateral play, just give the other team the ball at the 35 yard line every time??? Cut our losses!!!

Yep, I was thinking during the game, if you can't kick it through the end zone, kick it out of bounds. Its much better to lose 10 yards than a freaking 100 yards, and just defend them from the 35....

Our defense was having a tough time bringing their quarterback down and he made great plays.
This was not the game to have poor kick off, poor kickoff coverage and pore punt play. They allowed NCST to open up their offense.
