Davidson combined with Gallman is gonna be a great tandem for us this year. No knock on Rod because he did an outstanding job for us last season but we should see a big gain in the run game this year.

Totally agree! Running game should be a real threat this year and beyond. That has been missing to some degree for a while.

Four touchdowns in 34 carries. Pretty good ratio. Seems like he came in the game once the offense had moved into the red zone.
Hope he can pass protect!

is what I think will decide who gets the snaps this year. There are a cluster of guys where one isn't head and shoulders above the rest. The details will determine the leaders.
Speaking of Hot Rod, I thought he ran harder in 2012 than in 2013. Seemed like more of a straight line runner with excellent close-quarter change of direction in 2012. This year, it appeared that he was immediately looking to be shifty and, maybe, try to set up the long run... much like Spiller used to do.

He will surely be at 200 pounds before summer! I hope he will be able to keep his track speed as well! CJ was a little small last year but always seemed in control when he was running the ball. Gallman and CJ will be great to have in the back field. idk what will happen with DJ and Brooks
Hot Rod was nothing short of a great running back this year! The only reason his numbers are not more eye popping because we did not give him the ball more to make sure he didn't get to bang up! Chad knew that we didn't have a wealth of depth at RB so it limited the number of times he would let Hot Rod run it!

as fast as they "say" he is....
NOT 1 play on the football field supports it.
Would be nice to see that. #21

That was D.J.Howard (#22) that made that long break-away run at 055. C.J.Davidson is #32.
Regardless, C.J. will prove to be a very fast and solid runner.
