But got sidetracked by wife into taking a trip to Nantucket. Go for it. This will be a historic game with Belichick and Dabo coaching against each other. Two all-time greats albeit with challenging teams. For so many reasons, I don't expect they will ever coach against each other again (at least not in Chapel Hill).
Good luck amigo!

Nantucket is a great consolation prize. Ironically, I think Belichek lives there and will probably wish he was there with you.

The only time I’ve been there for a football game was back in 1981-82 I think. We won the game. The whole Clemson student section was standing on the bench seats when ours suddenly broke loose and we all fell backwards. No one was hurt, so we calmly passed the bench to the end of the stadium where it was tossed out into the woods. A second bench later broke loose, and they tossed it out of the stadium as well. The UNC newspaper reported the next week that Clemson students vandalized the stadium. Hahahaha!!! Well, we won the game. UNC has a beautiful campus. Back in high school our wrestling team would go there for camp, and I always thought that it was a great campus. I’m sure it’s all changed since then, but take time explore the campus and the town.

I was at that game. The crowd turned on their own team. Unheard of back in those days.
I was hit on the shoulder by a liquor bottle. My first ...and last...trip!

I was there with my father also that day. We got pelted with bottles and ice from the goat fans in the upper deck above us. #### of a defensive ballgame. Then we looked forward to Miami and Nebraska. Great time to be a Tiger!!!

First went when I was an equip mgr in the marching band in '89 so didn't deal w/ their fans much. Went back in later 90s during Mack Browns first stint. Unfortunately they beat the pants off us (think it was 97 or 98). Beautiful campus, nice setting for the stadium. We parked at the dean dome and walked to the stadium. It's all downhill to the stadium so remember that when your leaving. Like all away games though some good fans, some bad. Bit of a roll of the dice.

I went with a buddy several years ago. Nice campus. Decent stadium. Worth walking around a bit before or after the game. We were lucky the bball team had their opening scrimmage that night after the football game so we got to go into the Dean Dome and watch. Pretty cool.

I have been to 5 Clemson-UNC games in Chapel Hill, with the first being in 1977 and the last was in 2019.Great view from anywhere inside Keenan Stadium, even in the upper decks where I have sit 3 of the 5 times I have gone.Oh and park at the William and Ida Friday Center off of Hwy 54,as it has been free parking the last few times I have parked there and if I remember correctly I don't think I had to ay for the transportation of the shuttle bus that I took from there to Carmichael Arena. If you happen to have Google Maps downloaded on your computer then here is a map of where the parking is located at for the Friday Center>>>> https://www.google.com/maps/search/william+and+ida+friday+center/@35.8994728,-79.0115154,873m/data=!3m1!1e3?authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDkyNC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Horry got me beat. Went in 67, 71, 77, and 85. Them were some good trips.
So definitely go. I want to say in 67 it was maybe 20k or something. Probably be all Tigers. Probably wouldn't recognize the area now. But my last Clemson trip, I didn't recognize Clemson either. Lol

Took in a game there in early 90s. Beautiful stadium and fans were fantastic. Buy tickets and go, the atmosphere in and around Chapel Hill is exciting. You do know that Chapel Hill is located in "ORANGE" County NC. Be Safe, Have Fun !!!

Beautiful campus. Only problem is the liberals. It is like Harvard-South. I went up there on my recruiting trip in 1966 and they had kiosks set up around campus handing out condoms. I said "Damm" cause I was 17 and had just figured out how to use one. Came within a gnats eyelash of going there but their program was the pits back then. Great campus and well worth the trip.

Don't get me wrong I hate UNC and the tarholes but bias aside UNC has a really nice campus and aesthetically the stadium is one of the most beautiful in the country. Not the loudest nor the nicest but just very quaint. Plenty of good restaurants in chapel hill and in Raleigh near by. It's not on anyone's college football bucket list, but certainly worth going to if you're in the upstate/driving distance.
Also all jokes aside about Bill and his GF it's still going to be a fun historic footnote thing to say you saw Bill B when he coached in college (I don't think he's gonna be at UNC for long)
Not a bad crowd to away fans, but if Clemson goes up by a couple scores early that place will be close to empty by the half. (they have the first basketball blue and white scrimmage at 1 lol)
You wont need earplugs if you're worried about that.

It’s worth a visit. It’s a cool campus. The stadium itself isn’t anything special, but it sits in the middle of a bunch of giant pine trees and makes for a good game environment.

It is a beautiful venue and campus. The fans are much nicer than the “other Carolina” but there are still some obnoxious ones. Take your own Chardonnay and Brie, as Buffy and Tad won’t share. Go Tigers!

As an alum of UNC ,I can’t argue with some of the comments. Yes, the campus is very nice. With the old buildings and grounds it certainly has that “academic feel”. As for the football atmosphere it’s not Clemson. Fans are just not passionate about football and I don’t see that ever changing. When I was a student we would joke that if the library gets too loud just go over to Kenan to study. Not far from the truth.
