exactly which portal player do you want to add? People talk about it all the time but never have a name, a guy that a). we want or need and b). will come to Clemson. So who do you think fits these two simple requirements?
These guys are all leaving their schools for a reason.

The fact that people think getting a few portal players wouldn't help is absolutely mind blowing. Every top team in the country has portal players who are contributing. Stop acting like Clemson is better off without them.

Nobody said it wouldn't help. Previous poster asked two specific questions: 1) Who is a specific player you want to get? 2) Is that player interested in coming to Clemson?

Exactly. Trev4 answer the two questions for us.
We may want a WR but are we even in contention for a couple of the top rated transfer WR. I know we have contacted the DB out of Virginia but can we land him? We’ll see. But just saying that we “need” portal players just for the sake of having portal players is ignorant.

How about the defensive back from Virginia or the defensive end from I think it was Indiana. Believe there eere a few nice receivers leaving ATM. There are a few out there that can help. By no means do I want to see Clemson build a team on portal ayers like cootville or the criminoles are doing but can't see harm in filling holes.

This is stupid. People have named tons of players that we want and need. Y'all just don't want to hear it. And we don't know if they want to come to Clemson because we don't actively recruit them. Dont'e Thornton is still in the portal, at a position we've been terrible at for two years. He'd be one of our fastest receivers and is extremely sure-handed and fights for the ball. But I haven't heard any suggestion we've even reached out.

He was National top 35 player, #5CB overall and first one to fall to 4* in the list. He has 4yrs left and has a safety build but plays CB. He is 6'1 and 200lbs. A player like this could be a good addition especially when we will lose a lot of DBs after 2023 plus add the ones we lost to portal this yr.

Sad part is Striper they’ll still complain not realizing how impressive it was not to have any flips, they all signed as early as possible, and the absolute ELITE talent we’ve brought in.

If 26 for 26 means we had 26 committed and 26 signed then that’s a bit misleading. That’s making it sound as if we had no decommitments. While we had zero decommit today we had two that I know of months ago. The tight end and most notably Nathanial Joseph. Big loss at WR. A position we are in most need of.

The portal doesn’t close until January 18. I will be very surprised if we don’t add a WR or 2 between now and then.
