Clemson is now overrun by chain restaurants. However, if you want a great meal from a local restaurant, there is Pixie & Bill's, Calhoun Corners, Pot Belly Deli, and my favorite Roller Mills Smokehouse food truck, and Esso Club, and Mac's Drive-In.

Macs and Esso are landmarks. Mac's is simple burger joint. Esso has decent menu (although I think the game-weekend menu is not as good as non-game days ... they scale it down during heavy crowds.)

Finer dining ... I'd go with Calhoun Corners every time. Same family owns Pixie's, but I don't think its nearly as good. Was just up there last weekend and did both (Fri+Sat). Wasn't even close ... CC is better.

We know there are no CFA locations within a 20 mile radius of our campus so that option is off the table.

you could stop at Ingle's to get a salad and then go eat it by the lake or around campus. Much better than a restaurant.
