Need help with bad Comcast remote (Thx, ordered 1 online @ $9.95).

Its main push buttons have collapsed & don't make contact to an extent where I've had to vocally lead it to do what I needed..like using the word Watch or Pause..which worked for awhile but then voice directives went to a program that had a title with the word Watch in it, etc.

Now, went to Comcast regional service center where I got remote years ago which is now shut down but sign sent me to an Infinity cell phone retail center where I knew going in the door that they were going to laugh at me so went back to car to write youse All (particularly smart engineering types) for help.

Did go online and it seems everything is done online and ordering one from Comcast is the new modern way..

Or go to a Best Buy and purchase a generic clicker & program it.


Lastly, don't turn 83 and have your highly important college football remote (aka your clicker) go out!! LOL

Get a smart TV and Youtube TV. Not sure why I waited so long. Old and lazy I reckon. SO many more features available than Directv for less monies. Just gave them the heave-ho. I feel cleansed.

Easiest bet may be to drop by Best Buy and talk to the guys at the Geek Squad desk and explain what you need. They should be able to get you a compatible remote and instructions on programming it.

Go to Amazon web site and put in search box, "Comcast remote control replacement".
They have numerous models at good price. And you won't have to leave home. The internet you tube video will tell you and show you how to program it.
