ND made a huge mistake going for 2 after TD in 3rd quarter

If they simply kicked extra point then they would only needed another extra point with 7 seconds left to tie

We were up 21-3 and their TD made it 21-9. They went for 2 to try to make it a 10 point game. Instead they failed on the conversion so it's an 12 point lead. After our FG it's back up to 15.
Rule is you don't go for 2 until the 4th quarter. Coaching mistake

Who would have thought we'd just to try to run the clock out and got 3 and out the rest of the night after how well we had been moving the ball - well obviously not Brian Kelly. But yea its comical how often going for 2 points before the 4th ends up biting a team in the buttocks.
