I feel incredibly grateful to have had Ron in my life. After my parents divorced during my early childhood, my mom met Ron, who became more than just a stepfather to me. For over 30 years, he was a true father figure. Though he had no biological children of his own before marrying my mom, he embraced me as his son—a feeling that was absolutely mutual.
Ron was a deeply religious man, but it was a quiet, heartfelt faith, not something he ever flaunted.
He passed away at the young age of 67. It seems that the best are often taken from us too soon. My heart is shattered by this loss.

I’m so sorry for your loss. He sounds like a wonderful man. Any man can parent a child but it takes a real man to be a Father and to raise a child. My Father in law is my husband’s stepfather and he raised my husband and loves him like he is his blood. He has also been a father figure to me as well. We never have enough time with the good ones that’s for sure.
