The modern sports movie that set the standard and ###### for all the college sports movies that have followed. I watch Hoosiers at least 3-4 times a year. Probably my favorite sports movie. I love the opening, that old 53 Chevy travelling the back roads of Indiana. The movie is based on a true story. The coach went on to be inducted into the Indiana HOF and several of the players got schollies to colleges and some went into coaching.

I just saw something about him the other day. Did not realize he was a Marine and was 95. He had a great career.

Hoosiers is one of the best sports movies of all time.
The story surrounding his death sounds suspicious. His wife and dog were also found dead in their home. Carbon monoxide poisoning?
I assume if foul play was involved we would have heard about it by now.
