I’m thinking right around the late 90’s and early ‘00’ we had n athletic fee. At that point we were barely selling out the valley once a year and it was so easy to pick up a student ticket or even just show a student ID
Seems a like they are Nicole and dining the current students, but it all goes to the same pot. $150 for athletics or $150 hike in tuition or rec fee or whatever, just inflation in general. Is what it is

Same; I can't recall yesterday let alone the 80's when I was a student. But I thought we had an athletics fee on the bill then.

I thought that in my years (1969-73), there was an athletic fee included in the tuition. Those were the old days when there was plenty of sitting available and students didn’t pay extra for a ticket. We could buy a “Date Ticket” if desired.

I was a Tour Guide (98-01) and that is what I remember telling folks. I remember it being a $100. Or maybe it was a student activity fee then, but the athletic department got a portion of it. But I remember the $100 part.

There was an activities fee in the 90s covering things like Fike and intramurals.

I am pretty sure the fee was there in 64 - 68. Like albert said there were plenty of seats even though the capacity was around 42,000. However, there were only 4,500 students so plenty of room.
Assigned seats. Seniors could pick up tickets free on Monday before the game, Juniors on Tuesday, etc.....
The other big difference is that students wore ties to the games.

In the 80's there was an activity fee, I don't recall how much it was. Always understood it covered athletics, admission to Fike and intramurals.
