My cat attacked my GF's morning Dove

the stupid thing was not afraid of cats and it was only a matter of time. Anyways, the thing was in shock for about 4 days and going downhill rapidly. Watching her force-feed it with a turkey baster, when it so obviously was going to die, kind of tainted my sanctum
I stuck it in the freezer on my way out this morning,
She should be home from the gym in a bit, which gives me about 30 minutes to thaw it out with her hairdryer and stick it back in its cage.
wish me luck.

It was the only humane thing to do, I thought about snapping its neck, but I figured if I did not fully commit and did it halfassed, I would have a real mess on my hands.

Mourning dove, named for the sad sound they make. Also a migratory bird. Sporty to kill, they fly like little pissmissiles.

that makes more sense than morning. This little guy did not make a peep, was actually pretty cool. Just hopped around and would eat out of your hand. He also liked to hop over to cats and say hello.

I hope so, otherwise I am going to have to hear about this bird pretty much forever.

she is relieved. I didn't actually thaw it out with a dryer.
thanks for listening. it was very traumatizing for me. I will likely hear it scratching at the door of my freezer and wake up in cold sweats.
