Muse at Linebacker??

Anyone agree that Muse should be a starting line backer and have Turner and Wallace at safety?? Thoughts??

There’s a thought I’ve never had but it seems to have some credibility. He’s a bit light, however to be a LB.

He's not afraid to hit though, and that seems to be his best point. He seems to be 1 step slow on most of the passing routes, and was burned several times last year. He might have fixed all of that this year though.

He's got very good straight line speed, but he's not very agile laterally. That's where he gets burned. I don't know why they have him carrying all that weight. A little lighter might help the lateral moves.

I think 6-1/230 is big enough with how quick he is filling the hole. He is a run stopper and big hitter and has coverage skills as well. After week 1 it looks like the linebackers will need some help as there were a lot of missed tackles and confusion on which gaps they needed to fill.

Dabos said in a recent interview that Muse is probably a linebacker and more than likely switches positions for the NFL. That being said as a 3 year starter He's definitely staying at Safety. I prefer denzel personally though

won't be as a safety. But might be too late to transition to a new position. Needs about 15 more Lbs too. Which that wouldn't be too hard to accomplish.

Right-I think his instinct is to cover run first, which led to a few out of position issues last year. His wheels aren't the problem, as he was plenty speedy enough running down the RB on the wheel route against GT last week. Love how he doesn't avoid contact, tells he has a little Jimmy Greenbeans in him!

quite a few corners last season worse than he did against Muse.
A lot of the time, Muse looks bad because he is coming over and making up for a blown coverage by a LB or even a corner.

If we didnt have a complete stud with Simmons, I think that would have been a natural position.

brrntaylor I too recall Dabo saying he would be more a LB/hybrid at the next level. I have noticed at times he comes up in line with the other LBs - never watched close enough to decide why. Maybe he only had a TE on his side or something? IDK. But yeah if not a full time LB then maybe some rotation with Simmons to keep some fresh legs on everyone through the season.
But again, I am sure this coaching staff has considered all of this stuff.

I WOULD AGREE TO PLAY WHOEVER THE GUY MAKING MILLIONS TO DO IT SAYS RATHER THAN SOME GUY ON THE INTERNET.
