Most home in US do NOT have cable of satellite tv.

This was a shocker to me.
8 million homes dump cable/satellite TV in last 12 month
In 2014 87% of US homes had cable or satellite.
In 2023 only 46% of the US homes have cable or satellite.
We cut the cord a few months ago.

How much do you pay for everything monthly?

Here is what we pay
Tv. Zero
Amazon fire stick. Zero
We do pay $15 monthly for Amazon prime and they give you Amazon prime video and Amazon music to you at no extra charge.
Hulu Zero. I log in under my daughters account.

I just did, this morning. Feels invigorating for now 👍

Cable expense just isn’t worth it.

Get an antenna for local broadcasts.
We get 40 over the air channels.

The percentage will be 75% or higher within next 12 months simply based on cable expenses.

We pay $165 total monthly for you tube tv and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi charge is more than you tube tv! It’s $110 less monthly than I was paying this time last year when I had everything through Comporium communications. That total was $275 which I knew was ridiculous.

I want to cut the cord now, but I want someone to come to my house and set up all the technology that it takes to stream stuff to all 5 or 6 TVs. The technology hooking up drives me insane. Can someone guarantee I will still have my Braves, Clemson football, and my wife’s Hallmark Channel?

Yeah, I would cut the cord but the technically challenged thing is slowing me down as well.

I had spectrum until yesterday when they dropped ESPN. I was willing to pay more because I liked it. They forced me to switch.
Went with YouTube TV. So far so good.

I am hearing no history channel on you tube tv and that is a deal breaker for me.

A lot of people stream sports but I just can't do that. I would have a heart issue if I had to sit and wait on that little circle thing to download the latest play. I can't even get through an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond without it doing that. Several times!
