Morris is probably going to get an HC job.

Not many years like this come along where so many D1 programs are looking for a new head coach. Morris has just had two pretty good years, great satistically, and has a reputation as being a rising star. I realize that he isn't qualified to be a head coach and I personally wouldn't hire him, but just look at the reality of the situation. There are 7 programs that I know of, and I hardly pay attention any more, that are looking for a new head coach. Perception is reality nowadays and Morris is perceived as a hot commodity. He'll probably land one of these jobs.

He deserves a shot. He has a proven track record as a high school HC at a 6 or 7A school which is like Div II college and two productive years as OC at a big time Div 1 program...He will fair well and so will Clemson...there will be no drop off in production...Dabo will hire the right guy

This year is not unique. There are lots of head coaches fired each year. This year is no different than years past.
He'll eventually get a head coaching job. Suspect the kind of job he wants will take several more years experience. Besides, experience indicates many coordinators make poor head coaches. Different kind of talents involved in schmoozing with big buck donors and an 18 year old wide receiver.

He then hired two back to back proven coordinators. But go ahead and keep bashing him as if he didn't make it right.

I don't care what his background is...he's proven he can coach offense at this level, to the point where he is getting interest at the D1 HC level.
If you can't see that, you're blind, or your low pulse is affecting your judgement...wonder which?

I believe that he would be a good fit at South Florida. Recruiting rich place where he could get some really good athletes in there..... He could be very dangerous at South Florida.

When he leaves here he will not go to South Florida who is in the Big East which is a crumbling conference. That is barely hanging on.

Clemson took a chance on Dabo and it is paying off. Had Clemson hired solely on resume and experience then what would have become of the last four years. Arkansas tried to go with the experienced coach with a track record and look where it got them with a team lined up to be very good.

Auburn is a bad fit for him, and he's a bad fit for Auburn. not considering the NCAA mess, he's got to go toe-2-toe w/ the Sabinator, which won't be easy. Auburn needs a demonstrated CEO coach that is a top notch recruiter. Arkansas would be good fit, but where I see him going is TCU when someone lures Patterson away.

Lots of openings:
Auburn Tennessee Arkansas Purdue USF Cal No. Illinois Colorado
It's also possible that jobs like TCU, Baylor, or Oklahoma St could open up if their head coaches leave for one of the above openings

If Auburn hires Patterson away from TCU I could see TCU coming after Morris, afterall he has strong ties to Texas highschool football.

more year as a coordinator going to prove? He'll still be inexperienced. The only reason they would hire him this year is because they think he's a rising talent that has "it." One more year isn't going to make him some sure bet.
I don't know where he'll land, but he's going to be hired.
