With another Heisman Trophy awarding in the books, the 2025 early, early lookahead cycle has included Clemson starting QB Cade Klubnik, who is expected to return for a senior campaign.

ESPN has him as a contender: Clemson fans might have laughed at the notion of Klubnik being a Heisman Trophy contender after he struggled in the Tigers' 34-3 loss to Georgia in the opener in Atlanta. He threw for 142 yards with no touchdowns, leaving many fans questioning whether Clemson would be moving on. But Klubnik was one of the sport's most improved passers this season, completing 63.7% of his attempts for 3,303 yards with 33 touchdowns and five interceptions. He passed for 262 yards with four scores in a 34-31 win against SMU in the ACC championship game.

CBS Sports has Klubnik as a contender as well: Klubnik quietly put together a really nice season for the Tigers, completing 64% of his passes and only throwing five interceptions. I expect Klubnik will be in the mix for an award Clemson has never won with an improved receiving corps and total command of the offense. The former five-star prospect is living up to the hype and could jumpstart his 2025 Heisman campaign if he makes noise in the College Football Playoff.

Cade’s Heisman campaign will explode or die depending on his against LSU to open the 2025 season.

Can’t wait to settle where the real Death Valley is!

I dont worry about it. If Lawrence and Watson werent worthy that says it all. I pay no attention to the award of the show anymore as a result

Agree. Politics as usual. SEC voters vote for SEC. Big 10 journalists vote big 10 if they have a representative. So, just depends on the region etc.

A friend of mine told me that he heard that a SEC school was tempting Cade with 3.5 mill for next year. Has anyone else heard anything similar?
