Mickey, you need to make your Kool-Aid jug available to everyone here. I do agree that we need to improve our hitting because it was painfully obvious that the majority of our losses came from poor offense and not from pitching (with a few exceptions).

Agree...I'm still having a hard time getting over the Daniel Norris situation. Seems like every year our Recruit bolts in the draft. Top 3 things I want for next year is 1. overall higher batting avg for the team. 2. Atleast 1 player hit 10 plus homers. 3. A pitcher to go along with Gosset to give us 2 solid aces.

You are soooooo Right. We or any other team can't count on any player until MLB does it's damage in picking through the cream of the crop. It is so wrong for the Pros to have first pick over HS kids. MLB shouldn't have the right to even get close to HS athletes, NEVER!!!

Must get more power hitters

Jun 5, 2013, 11:43 AM

This is the most anemic offense at Clemson that I can ever remember. Jack crying about the seams on the baseball is laughable. Every team uses the same baseball and they dont have problems hitting more HR's or scoring more runs. It's purely a talent issue. Clemson doesnt have it right now. It can be fixed in a year or two through better recruiting and getting a better hitting coach. The guys we have are light hitters, but they have zero plate discipline on top of no power. 10th in ACC in Slugging and OBP is terrible.
