We basically have one-party control over media in the USA. And you lefties can't come to grips with the fact that this one idea/concept dictated the outcome of the 2020 election.
They don't care, they are happy with the destruction of the evil, rich, successful America. Just sitting around waiting on Biden to send them another check.
I can't believe the damage this idiot has accomplished in 1.5 yrs.
This seems like a 2021 trope you're regurgitating daily here. And which administration sent more Covid $ to people? I CAN'T BELIEVE THE DAMAGE TRUMP CAUSED BY SENDING PEOPLE CHECKS.
The (presumably) moderate/independent responders right up the middle seemed to have been pretty comfortable with their options, while the partisans on the left/right were more skewed in their bias -- but still, each ad their own sources.
Media bias has been a concern over conservatives for...heck...since the 70s or 80s? It's like MAGA is just figuring this out. But the reality is "media" has never been more decentralized. Oh is NYT not giving you a fair shake? Oh boo hoo.
Republicans have won elections with the mainstream media against them for decades. Conservative alt-media is bigger and stronger than ever. Complaining about media bias is like complaining about sun burns.
Left and right is one thing, but the chart does not capture the truth factor. And, we all know the truth is only known some amount of time after the story breaks - maybe years after.
If you were to rate coverage as fact or fiction and weight fake stories with importance measured by the its effect to sway an individual's opinions and actions, the far left column would be 2x or 3x more populated than far right.
Which outlets had more substantial retractions? I do not know why the left outlets even do retractions once they are proven wrong. There must be some reason forcing them to do that, maybe legal reasons, but it sure is not their moral high ground.
Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.
- Jonathan Swift
Well, you have PBS, BBC, WSJ, Reuters, and maybe the Guardian I semi-trust. The rest are dead.
Then again I don't trust Donald Trump or Joe Biden either. Most of the trust is a lack of trust with the FULL story. One thing the fairness doctrine did, that drove people crazy, but not this crazy, is it forced two sides to be at least mentioned. We are now solidly compartmentalized, and it's seductive because if MSNBC is full of crap, and we like what we hear on OAN, then it must be the truth. And that's NOT the case. The enemy of your enemy is NOT necessarily your friend. Ask the Taliban and Saddam Hussein about that. Heck, ask the Russians. They were an ally once upon a time.
Collectively, it's a dumbing down, and a cesspool of ignorance and animosity these days, with the media. Liberals are dumber for watching MSNBC, etc. all day, and SAME goes for conservatives watching Newsmax, etc.
Meanwhile, the problems will burn us down while we point fingers and misdiagnose the problem to our liking.
Tell me the list of legit, influential stories the conservative right covered up or purposefully did not cover, and, thus, no one of the left knew about it?
