Just noticed he is committing this weekend to someone. Looks like Tennesse over the Cluckers if crystal balls matter. Anyone know why we were not interested in him or him interested in us? He is a Greenville SC boy. I know most will say we are recruiting higher rated prospects. Maybe a local persons opinion of his game and what we might be missing out on. Thanks in advance

My guess would be that he’s a 5’11 slot receiver and we have about 4 guys at that position. So, maybe he is not needed.

Mazeo's a 2024 slot WR w/ over 20 offers (notable bama, Auburn, FSU, UGA, Miami, Scar, Tenn), but we won't offer/chase him b/c we have "4 guys" (i'd love to hear these names).
the real answer is we're holding spots for Swinney's son's Daniel HS friends that scoop up the transfer schollies after they get on campus.

I saw him play earlier this season, vs Byrnes. He seemed to be in verbal altercations most of the night with the Byrnes players, and didn’t perform well that night. Small sample size, and I’m sure he’s a very good player given his offer list, but I wasn’t impressed with what I saw from him that night. In fact, I didn’t realize Greenville had such a highly recruited player and once I found out they did, I wondered which player it was because he didn’t show me anything any of the others didn’t.

I saw him play against Dorman, and it wasn't that impressive whatsoever.. that being said he is talented but ehh I think we're ok.

cratering is a little harsh.......but the top tier talent and the talented depth have taken a step back from our 2015-2019 teams, mostly and particularly on the offensive side of the ball.
