Maybe Smith's targeting call was a blessing in disguise

Nov 8, 2014, 5:43 AM

Right after that, our defense forced wake to punt and then we went on to score 14 unanswered points. We looked like a new team after that happened. The call on Smith really pissed off our players and it showed

Jadar Johnson is very good. TJ Green is very good. We won't miss a beat against the bugs.

I'm curious. What have you seen from TJ Green this year that would support the statement that he is "very good"?

I personally haven't noticed but he shouldn't be

Returning kicks imo. We got to have a better option than Green. Hopper or Scott could do much better but obviously the coaches see something in Green that I don't

I can think of times when both the crowd and the team were flat and a what tha ? Call woke them up so while I think the 1/2 game suspension is way excessive it did put a chip on our shoulder and hopefully that anger will carry over to GaTech

offense to "decide" to do something. Nice thought, but I don't think it works like that.

at that point in the game the defense had given up about 93 yards. I really don't think she is here it had anything to do with the remainder of the game. The defense was playing lights out and was put in some tough positions but responded the whole game through. That's just my 2 cents though. Still a very nice hit!

Vs. GTech, the safety is more of a run stopper ....

Nov 8, 2014, 10:45 AM

Since we likely will go man against Tech's receiver, the injustice afforded Robert Smith may not be as dire as it could have been.

If we choose to crash the middle by dropping a linebacker in, forcing the play to wither Vic or Corey, then the safety would simply slide up to that position. If we elect to take out the edge, forcing the play inside to Grady, a linebacker slides over and the safety moves into that position.

We've got the bodies to go with either strategy. And when Robert returns in the second half, he's gonna be ready to unleash #### on whatever unfortunate Jacket comes buzzing his way.
