Basically at this point, G5 schools, FCS and D-II is the minor league for developing players. P5 is now a professional league, kind of like European league the the NFL (NBA) takes the cream off the top. It's not the sport I fell in love with. Watched less this year than I have in 25yrs.

CFB viewership has been declining for years. Where exactly is the data that suggests viewership has increased since the NIL??? LOL So lame, and idiotic. Did your "feelings" tell you the NIL is popular with fans or something? What on earth?
But please go right ahead and enlighten us with the data that suggests college football viewership is up since the NIL. We'll be waiting with bated-breath.

How is that? I used to be a bigger fan of MBB than I am today for that very same reason. The 1-n-done, the shoe money, ruined the sport for me. You had 8-10 schools that had the shoe money and you knew which 10 will make the final 8 basically every year. I guess there is at least more parity in the sport now.
But the same is happening in football now. The rich schools will buy the players and eventually it will be 15 schools every year that pay the most.
How is that sour grapes? If you like paying to play programs, go watch the NFL or NBA. Leave the student athletes as those with the desire to be educated, be an alumni, given good coaching, and a chance at the next level. If that is sour grapes, then so be it!

Disgusting and sad. I only watched Clemson games this year. Hard to enjoy it with it being all about “show me the money” opt outs, nil. BS ruining the fun of CFB
