Just read he has been let go from the Bengals. Another candidate to consider for DC.

Fresh blood remember?
Bringing him back on staff would go over like a f-a-r-t in church.😳

Would like to go in another direction, but the man can coach, He and Dan Brooks two of the best we’ve ever had on that side of the ball.

Let’s can Eason and get him back to coach the tackles. Our DT play and run defense has fell off a cliff since we hired Eason.

With the direction of the college game going transactional, Hobby is the kind of field coach you need. NFL resume, NFL connections, and history of developing players into the league. Especially with transfers being speed dating, there’s little time to build a relationship so your resume better tell your story. As we now know, HS recruiting is going that way also. You really just need a closer like Dabo and a competitive checkbook. Dabo needs NFL caliber position coaches if he’s going to be competitive on mostly rev share offers.

I'd love to get him back in some capacity but not as DC...

Hobby is a gypsy...He's just as likely to disappear mid season back to the NFL.

Anarumo would be worth a phone call to gauge interest, unless the fix is already in on the hire and he is busy trying to game plan for Josh Allen.

How have we reached the point that anyone (not you/op - but a myriad of responses) would have anything negative to say about Marion Hobby? He spend 6 seasons(11-16) as co-DC overseeing the evolution of our defense from the ashes of the Orange Bowl to premier defense in the country and a National Title. He’s spent the time since then in the NFL. There is nothing unusual about his movement within the NFL.
