Marcus Edmund

Guy is getting no credit for a great football play. He played that about as well as you can; he was under control, took away the inside (Quick was going to have to go backward to get around him if he cut back) and made almost perfect contact with Quick at the 5. His head was in front, he had leverage, and he made contact at the waist. He literally knocked him out of bounds and spun him around. Quick did not run out of bounds he got knocked out... great play getting no love...

Yep. Edmond played that perfectly - he established the proper angle and broke his hips down appropriately to be prepared for a cut while still maintaining momentum and speed to force Quick out of bound shy of the first down. Did a great job of getting his helmet and pads in the right position across Quick's chest as well.
Rewatched the game last night and he was tackling really well all night. Glad to see him fulfilling his potential and especially coming out of Lower Richland. That's a tough area for kids to make it out sometimes.

Totally agree. It was perfectly executed, from his pursuit,

the closing angle he took, and the final hit forcing Quick out of bounds. He left Quick only one legitimate option, and had the skillset (read speed) to win that battle.

milliseconds prior to the hit because he was thinking about going over-- he's doing that full speed and knows he's screwed -- the receiver did the best he could, Edmonds gave him NO option by the form and angle he was taking-- Tremendous play!

To be or not to be Edmund or Edmunds? Should Mark Edmund change the spelling of his last name to Edmunds, or shall Munson be chastised and corrected for changing the spelling of people's name. I say neither, I say get someone else that can do his job. I'm not meaning any disrespect, but Munson is hard to listen to for more than maybe a minute....

I think everyone acknowledges his play, but I see what you're saying. He'll be a household name sooner than later.

Mark had a great game, and made several similar plays on the sideline throughout. Perfect form and got the job done. In face, the official really gave him the benefit of the doubt on the spot, because a careful look will show his foot hitting the sideline on the 4-yard line as he spun out.
Game ball to Mark! Great play... and thank you!

It matters where the ball is when he steps out not the foot.

Also, on the play where Wiggins let Jackson

run right past him because he was holding his hands up to complain about a hold, Marcus Edmond made the TD saving tackle there. I think.

Probably because Jadar slammed him!

Sort of joking, but Jadar's "celebration tackle" of Marcus was pretty "aggressive".
I bet that was the biggest hit Marcus had all night.

Go listen to the Jadar Johnson presser. He has Edmund's back, and I'm sure so does the rest of the team (and coaching staff) Hail(!!!) he's in there on THE BIGGEST play of the game?! Tell me THAT AIN'T trust and love?!?!
Personally, I think we don't need the media hype machine propaganda to do what Tigers do!
JUST WIN BABY!
GO TIGERS!!!!!

I promise that every one I've heard from is giving him tons of credit. We are thrilled for him. Takes each and every player doing their part at highest level to pull off this win and all others for that matter.
High regards for Marcus ?? ?? ?? ??
