You serious Clark?
Hey, I really don't like Brady either but, if you look at thier body of work, Brady has way more accomplishments than Manning. Not saying Manning isn't good, but he's not Brady good.

If he went to any other team in the NFL, we would not know his name. Matt Cassel looked like a HOFer when he played the entire season for the broken Brady.
He was a 6th rd draft pick for a reason. He just lucked out that he played where he played.

Manning is the best passer of the Football ever, but his style doesn't equate to "championship football" as much as Brady. Brady only wants to win, PM wants to be a gunslinger no matter what. He can't help himself most of the time, and that's what separates the two.
Brady and Manning can't play defense, but it has proven that if your team can run and keep manning's defense on the field his style qbing will wear his own D down because of short drives with 3 and outs, quick scores, and turnovers.
Brady all day,

> throwing 2. You know little of football if you think > Peyton is a gun slinger.
Explain throwing 2 pics? Have you seen Denver's defense and NE's o-line? It happens. Do I really need to go dig up some Peyton playoff stats? One game doesn't define the argument, but even after losing that game Tom Brady is still ridiculously good. Peyton has been garbage all year, and if you switched QB's yesterday it's a blowout. Brady avoided negative plays, converted 3 downs, and threw two of the most clutch passes I've ever seen to Gronk. Denver at home with that defense is just really tough. Win some you lose some.
How is he not? He's just more technical than most gunslingers, but he wants to drop back and throw the ball 40+ times a game. That's been the talking point all year with the Broncos offense. Trying to tailor it to Peyton Manning's style vs making Peyton run their plays. He's not a dual threat playmaker, and he's not a game manager, so what is he?
When Peyton has the advantage in skill position players and o-line I won't argue that he's not better than Brady in their prime. But Brady has been able to adapt better to the talent around him, and also has controlled the clock better than Peyton throughout his career. Brady's overall game imo, leads to more wins. Its also the general consensus around the football world and amongst those that chart team and player efficiency.

How so? He only had one with the Colts, and the Colts are better.
I could see him winning 2 or 3 with the pats tho. Belichick makes the gameplan in NE, and he wouldn't let Peyton go off the rails in the playoffs like other weak coaches that don't have a clue what it takes to win championships.
That might even be selling them short. Belichick is the kind of coach that could make Manning into the best ever.

BTW, Brock Huard and Reggie Wayne both called Manning a gunslinger last week.
Huard backed up Manning for years, and is a great analyst. Wayne was one of Manning's best targets and is one of his best friends.
The fact that Peyton Manning is a gunslinger is not really one of those things that is debated.

How has Manning clearly had better weapons than Brady over his career? Brady might have the greatest TE ever on his team right now. Brady did get Randy Moss for awhile, who is better than any WR Manning ever has had, regardless of career stats.
Wasn't one of Manning's studs at WR, Emmanuel Sanders, a bust in Pittsburgh?
Brady has more rings, but you can't deny he hasn't benefitted from having the same support system his whole career.

When you listed Wes Welker and Dallas freakin' Clark (solid TE, but seriously?), you pretty much made your argument null and void. Brady not Manning got the best years of Welker. Manning had 1-2 good years with him before concussions got to Welker.
How does Manning not get credit himself for those guys? James YPA dropped almost a full yard the moment he went to Arizona. Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker didn't sniff 1,000 yard seasons until Manning came along. Julius Thomas's TDs cut in half this season with Bortles instead of Manning.
I'm not saying Manning is better than Brady, but it's foolish to act like Manning has had the greatest support ever while Brady is playing with mediocre, replacement players. Gronkowski is a better weapon than anyone Peyton Manning has ever thrown to.

Yeah having Harrison, Wayne , Clark , James all together wasn't stacked on the offensive side of the ball .
"Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker didn't sniff 1,000 yard seasons until Manning came along"
Yeah having Tebow as QB had no effect on this
"Julius Thomas's TDs cut in half this season with Bortles instead of Manning."
You mean he didn't have Decker and DThomas on the field with him in Jax ?
"Brady not Manning got the best years of Welker."
After three mediocre seasons to start his career in Miami, this undrafted player’s career skyrocketed under Brady’s wing.

He had that lineup for what 3 years maybe? And we're still going with Dallas Clark as some sort of game changer? Moment Manning went down for the Colts, Clark's career essentially ended. James didn't fare much better.
> "Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker didn't sniff 1,000 > yard seasons until Manning came along" > > Yeah having Tebow as QB had no effect on this
It did, but it didn't hurt Brandon Lloyd in 2010 having Orton and Tebow.
> > > > "Julius Thomas's TDs cut in half this season with > Bortles instead of Manning." > > You mean he didn't have Decker and DThomas on the > field with him in Jax ?
Really? Thomas had two 1,000 yard WRs with him in Jax, too. Didn't help him much.
> > > > > "Brady not Manning got the best years of Welker." > > After three mediocre seasons to start his career in > Miami, this undrafted player’s career skyrocketed > under Brady’s wing.
What does that have to do with Manning? Nothing. I'm not trashing Brady in any way. I just think the whole Manning had way better weapons than Brady is overrated. Both Brady and Manning have made the players around them better throughout their careers.

lol - I wonder if the OP knows that if Denver and NE switched QB's, then Denver would have won by 30+. Oh wait...he probably doesn't understand that Denver's TEAM was the difference here. And nobody seems to understand that the missed PAT was the difference in the game going to OT or not. If NE only needed ONE point at the end, then maybe the outcome would have been different.
Brady is way better IMO. While I'm happy for Payton, that doesn't change my opinion.

What you don't get is defense won the patriots all of their Super Bowls...
Jan 25, 2016, 12:37 PM
|
|
Because of defense. So you are proving my point. The Patriots have never won a super bowl easily. All of their SB wins have been close, with the defense making most of the important plays. Manning's one SB win, was a convincing win. Colts controlled the game from start to finish with a weak defense. In the two Super Bowl losses to the Giants Brady had the most offensive weapons of his career, and he got out played by Eli Manning who didn't have anywhere close to the level of offensive talent as Brady did. So if Brady is so much better than Peyton, how do you explain Eli who isn't on the same level as his brother outplaying Brady twice in the SB with less offensive weapons than Brady?

Tom Brady just happens to be my favorite player. I think you lost all credibility when speaking on the NFL saying Manning>Brady. Everybody knows that isn't true. And my point is Rex Grossman is garbage and Manning's only Super Bowl win is over a garbage QB who has thrown more INTs than TDs in his career.

Explain why Eli, who isn't as good as Peyton, out played Brady twice with less weapons than Brady. Your point became invalid when Brady couldn't get a convincing win over Delhomme, a garbage QB. Sorry dude, but Brady isn't so much better than Manning. You can think he is better, but to think he is so far ahead of Manning is pure ignorance. And yesterday Manning outplayed Brady, bad back and all. Manning had an 90.1 QB rating and Brady had a 56. And on top of that the Broncos had a ton of dropped passes. If Brady was so much better, then the Patriots would have won yesterday.

If Tom Brady had Denvers D yesterday, that game isn't even close. He's not so much better, but he is better. They are the two best of my generation. But Tom is the best of all time, or the second best behind only Montana. Even if Peyton wins the super bowl, and I think he might, he will still not be better than Brady. Eli had two of the luckiest plays in NFL history to win those two SB.
Does Peyton even have a winning record in the playoffs?
