So a Mother Duck Built her Nest Outside of our

office building and inside of a second-floor planter box. I found this location to be a bit precarious so I stacked them into an unused ashtray near the outdoor evaluator vestibule, and much to my surprise she never returned. Being that I am responsible, I brought the eggs indoors into the air conditioning, built a new nest from styrofoam packaging material, and set up a task lamp to simulate sunlight.
Anyway, they hatched this morning and it turned out that they are not ducks at all. Does anyone know what kind of reptiles these are, I understand some do not grow their legs until puberty?

TIA.
Go any Tiger Things!

if there are 2 puncture marks in his skin after he is bitten, it will help me narrow it down considerably.

he should be able to identify the species.
And confirmed, they do like to bite. One of my coworkers was bitten on his way out of the door and to lunch, I think that was an hour ago.

Mail hem to FM and he will identify. You can also roll them over on their backs and examine their #### area. You can verify their sex that way.

Now now, we need to keep this a family website. No more talking about giving someone the big snake, unless it's Judge Keller who likes the way one of our coaches teaches his style of bouncing balls.

They may identify as ducks but they're just not fully developed. Take them inside the house and turn them loose and they'll likely grow faster than being all cramped together like that.

Looks like a pygmy rattlers. Garters in NC have stripes not patterns. But babies change as they mature. Get close and look at their eye's if they are round they are harmless.

they lay their eggs in blue bird boxes and the blue birds nearly work themselves to death trying to feed the baby ducks fish because the blue birds don't realize they are not the real parents.
