Only a shock to the fans that think Shipley is a great RB.

Not super fast, but fast enough, maybe sneaky fast, and has great vision and patience, good feet and has great instincts, knows exactly when to cut and go. Plus he's strong as a bull.

Mafe is much faster in my opinion. But they are similar, I agree.

He reminds me more of James Davis. He hits and sees holes better than Shipley, to me. I always thought Davis was superior to Spiller in that regard as well. However, Davis didn’t have the speed of Spiller, and was never the multitool that Spiller was for the team. I think that’s the way it is with Mafah and Shipley. Shipley is a better athlete and faster. However, Mafah is a better running back.

I don’t see Shipley’s speed.
I’d like to see them race the 40 with a defender on their tail. I think Mafah is just as fast
If shipley has another gear, he might need to get that transmission looked at

For those around in the ‘90s.
And heck yes, he should have been playing more with a less than stellar OL. He is big enough to get more positive yards than Shipley.

It's OK. We forgive you. Shipley has a role in the offense, but Mafah is the guy to build the offense around. Shipley is immature and is not what the media spins. He needs 10-12 touches a game. Mafah needs 20+. That combo takes the Tigers to a 9-3 finish and puts them squarely in the playoffs mix next season.

Apparently, you haven't been watching him. Set aside his fumbles at Duke, he's a DUDE.

I think it was a mistake that he hid it this long. He's never run like that spot belonged to him before.

I have posted on here before that Mafah is my favorite player on the team. The guy is a beast running the football. He does not remind me of any other Clemson backs because his running style and physical build are different.

If Ship comes back and starts, we will know our coaches have a different agenda that doesn’t include playing the best players, or they are truly terrible at evaluating talent.
