has to be assisted off the field in the 3rd. Really hope it’s not serious. Most importantly for her personally, but also because she’s probably our best player. Would really hurt to lose her for the year.

Any time during the season it would be a major loss but being this is the last regular season game and the ACC Tournament is next week and after that a good possibility of making the NCAA Tournament then that would be a huge blow to the team, especially since she is the leading goal scorer on the team

I take that back,Lindsey Marshall is the leading scorer on the team with 55 Goals and Kayla Macleod is 2nd on the team with 47 goals scored.Still a huge loss though to lose a player that good.

She has now returned to the sidelines on crutches with a big brace on her right knee. She’s standing up (with the crutches) talking/cheering with her teammates, and is smiling and laughing a good bit. So I really don’t know quite what to think. Glad she doesn’t seem to be in significant pain at least.

I wouldn't count on her being back this season.

You could tell when she was on the field it was bad and she knew it. Poor thing was balling in tears. I prayed for the best but could tell from her reaction. So sad. Injuries always are. Obviously pails in comparison to the other horrific events and tragedies of the day.

I'm not buying what the announcers were saying about the acc tournament, and us needing to win at least one game to get into the ncaa.. but a win over Duke would assure a spot.

If #14 and 5th seed from the acc can't make it, who can. That said, it didn't help that what looked like a great win at ND has wilted. Obviously cuse win was huge... but cuse didn't help us losing so many. That mercer loss was really bad. Although mercer has turned out to be a good mid major team.

Thanks for the update Marine One.

I was trying to hold out hope, but unfortunately, that's what I feared. I suspected it was an ACL based on how it looked when she went down and the brace she had on later. I was really amazed how much she seemed to have bounced back emotionally when she returned to the sideline. Not many people can do that after such a devastating injury, so major props to her for being so resilient and still trying to be a supportive teammate. Hope she has a smooth recovery. Does really sting for the team though. Shades of what happened to Dani Davis this past fall at FSU. Always terrible when you see ACL's happen like that. It's really sad seeing the athletes in tears realizing they're gonna be out for 9-12 months.

Yes Sir it is. At least she's a sophomore. And, in all honesty, we should make the ncaa and that would be a huge accomplishment in team 2. It's doubtful we will be anything more than a one and done. Unc probably wins the national. But Stanford and Florida kinda exposed us. We are really good but next season.... we should take that next step and be a serious contender. Hopefully Kayla rehabs and sticks with us. She would be a dynamic trio with spalena coming in.

Hopefully @marineoneclemson keeps us updated.
