Wonder if anyone ever thought about the scenario where a 17 year old kid takes the gun from a woman 30 years into her career and then turns it on the other students.
I guess we could offer "thoughts and prayers" if that were to happen and then just forget about it.

I come from a family of teachers -- mother, father, uncle, grandmother...
I was graduated from HS 50.5 years ago.
In my HS (not there now; consolidated w another HS) there were 5 teachers that were borderline psychotic. If they would have concealed guns, no one would have attended their classes.
I can't believe that the school systems are getting better teachers now.
