All we had to do was pound the ball most of 2nd half, play keep away and we win. This was 100% coaches that cost us this game. DJU was already having a hortible game and to put it in his hands was huge mistake.

This team is lead by a QB who has this season refined his skills beyond that which our last QB will ever achieve.
This will be a slaughter much deserved by both football teams and fans alike. Clemson 42-USCe 12.
The ND game gave us hopes, the GT game gave us confidence and the UNC game assured us that our season and a half drought is ended. Enjoy the deep well of success.

I don't trust this Clemson team yet. They have all the hallmarks of a team capable of blowing a game.
Cade has improved obviously... but he still makes bad plays that can kill momentum.
The defense looks great on most plays... but they still give up huge runs WAY too often. UNC ran almost 8 yards a carry for 250 yards on the ground. That's not good defense by any stretch.
The defense STILL takes terrible tackling angles frequently. We are not reliable enough to be safe from a terrible letdown. I trusted last year's team to beat SCAR more than I trust this team. Though SCAR is worse this year than last year.
I just don't see us winning vs SCAR by more than 10-12. And I wouldn't be THAT shocked if they beat us.
I don't expect a good showing in the bowl game either.
We seem like an 8-5 team to me. flashes of good... but too shaky and unstable.

Thinking about why we are 8-4 instead of at least 11-1: (1) Obviously all the turnovers; (2) A third straight season of rinky-dink short passes instead of some expertly placed bombs; (3) A quarterback who just isn’t ready for the big time. We did not score one TD against a terrible S.C. team. And thank the good Lord that Weitz came out of retirement. His three field goals Saturday were crucial. Did you watch some of the big games Saturday on TV? Teams completed long passes, including some for touchdowns. Their quarterbacks looked like what they are—future NFL Draft picks. But hey, we won Saturday, so I will shut my pie hole.

SC will stack the box and sell out to stop the run. If Cade can make good decisions, not turn the ball over, and force SC's defense off the line, then Clemson should be able to run the ball and keep SC's offense off the field. The Clemson defense will need to get pressure on Ratter, keep him in the pocket, and not give up big plays. Otherwise, could be a long night.

I’d like to see us mix it up and throw on first down. And not give up on it when we throw an incomplete. When we throw an incomplete on first down, it’s nearly 100% we run up the middle on second down.

completely convinced we couldn't lose that game that we didn't wake up, even when it was happening. These lessons apparently have to be repeated every few years. Hopefully this team has learned from that overconfidence, and the embarrassing year of taunts that followed.

We SHOULD whoop their ### honestly. This is a really bad football team with a few really good players on it. This is a team that gave up 421 yards to Jacksonville State 3 weeks ago. If we can’t absolutely dominate them in the trenches it will be a complete failure by Dabo and this staff.

Most of what you said is the truth. I agree I felt more confident we would last year than this year.I do think we win but it could be close but then again if we come out and play like we did against ND we blow them out. I guess we will find out tonight at 7:30.

This team has not proved they can win on the road. So we will see if the hot mess offense we have seen on the road this years shows up at Willy Brice. If so, it will be closer than we would like.

Not sure unacceptable is the right word.
If you describe something as unacceptable, you strongly disapprove of it or object to it and feel that it should not be allowed to continue.
The fact is when two teams play each other every year, occasional the coots will win a few of the games. It is that way in every rivalry regardless of the teams involved as no team beats their rival every year.
