Norris has gotten shelled at every level he has been at. But, at 19 years old I wouldn't categorize this so much as his not living up to the hype as I would that they are doing a #### poor job of handling him.

In all fairness to him the Jays have been pushing him way to fast. He has taken several jumps and working for years in Minor League Baseball it’s been a surprise to me. This is a guy loved Clemson. I took him to his first football game in Death Valley but when it came down to it it was about financial security and the dream most of us have to play in the big leagues.

I dont blame the kid for taking the money and have no

doubt that he loved Clemson much like Greinke, but he could've potentially helped his draft position had he come to Clemson and he hasn't been a "hotshot" in the minors thus far. I wish him all the best and hope he shows out.

He MIGHT could have improved his draft position after

3 years of college, but he was drafted in the 2nd round. There was a whole lot more room to fall than there was to move up.

Taking the money was a no-brainer. He made the right decision. Baseball American did a study a few years ago and most guys drafted that high end up getting LESS money if they play college ball for 3 years.

On the other end you have a Richie Shaffer who got drafted in the 28th round I believe out of high school. Comes to Clemson for 3 years and gets PAID

You are never going to have a top 2 round guy go to college. Now I can see where kids go pro in the 5-10 rounds that are just not ready. The money drops drastically with each round.

I also think you underestimate the value of a college degree. A lot of these guys do not last long or they get demoted to a whole new level of low. Try independent Anderson Joes type baseball YIKES. At that point they have nothing to fall back on. No degree. No education. They are just there...with the 90,000.00 signing bonus that dries up quick

Its not always a black and white answer.

What was the name of the kid from around the Myrtle Beach area that Clemson recruited a few years back that decided to take the signing bonus of 25K-45K. Where is he now?
