Looking ahead to 2025

Offense-should be the best since 2019. Cade will be a Heisman frontrunner. WR has elite talent. OL returns 4 starters and the injured depth. Only question is RB, where I expect an all out competition in the spring. Randall moving there is interesting. I know some want a portal guy here, but I think we wait to see how things unfold this spring first. TE I think will be fine.
Needs-maybe another WR with the Randall move. RB if no one separates this spring is a possibility when spring portal opens.
Defense-while not close to the 2018 unit that was just loaded, we still have to much talent to be this bad. Just poor fundamentally in to many areas. Are some coaching changes coming? Unsure. Regardless there will be some changes. Capehart and Williams returning would be a big boost. I think they both do. Heldt was a big addition. He can set the edge, something we struggled with all year. LB has unproven depth behind Wade and Brown, but does have some talent. Terrell seemed to regress as the year played out, to many PI's from just not getting his head turned. Hampton will be a stud, and we have alot of inexperienced, but pretty highly rated depth. S is a question, though I think Jones will be a baller there.
Needs-could definitely see a portal S with some experience added, maybe an LB as well. Biggest need is improvement with fundamentals. How that begins to occur is the question. If our fundamentals improve, this team is poised for a big year. This past season was just a major disappointment on this side of the ball and the top priority to fix.
Punting question Needs to be answered.
Hauser is going to be a great kicker.
I'll admit, I'm a glass half full kind of guy. Our defensive issues can be fixed. We're not lacking talent like when BV arrived. It's there, just not like 2018. But this year was a mess. Dabo knows that. We'll see how he moves forward on it.
Offense should be a blast

Assuming Cade returns, which is very much in doubt this morning.

I suspect he’s thinking about the NFL but will come back after receiving his draft grade. I’d be shocked and done with college sports if he hit the portal.

Cade suggested as much himself in his postgame comments in his refusal to answer the question as to whether he'd be back. Hearing from a good source he's "actively" evaluating his draft stock.

I am not surprised to hear Cade is evaluating his draft stock, he should.
I dont put much into his "side step" last night. He had just lost a game where he balled out, he was pissed and hurting.

I think we will have a new DC. People keep saying Dabo won’t make a change because we made the playoffs. He replaced Streeter after an ACC championship and Orange Bowl loss. That’s the equivalent of winning the ACC and losing in the first round.

I don’t think he has a choice after what we witnessed yesterday. You can’t keep a team from getting 6.1 yds a rush that’s a huge problem.

Defense is unbelievable porous. First thing a D has to do is stop the run. They had a field day. After they got up 21 I thought we may get beat by 35. Offense showed up. If our defense would have showed up we would be in Atlanta Jan 1.

Gideon will be the RB starter day one. All hinges on Cade, if he comes back, we’re gonna be solid. If he doesn’t, we’re in trouble.
That said, Wes has to go, and we have to find a defensive coordinator

You think he comes in and starts over Haynes (assuming he is healthy)?

At least co-starter. Spiller has got to start finding a rotation like we’ve had in the past. Not put all the load on one guy. Davidson and Haynes would make a great rotation.

Can't see him ready until into the season. I think that's one of the reasons we're moving Randall. I'd watch Green this spring, he's going to get a long look
