We wouldn't have won those championships had we been in the sec. B1g, probably so.
I know this won't be a popular post, but imo, we wouldn't have survived the sec schedule to make the sec championship game. We may have challenged in 2018.
During our run, even against the acc teams, we'd have some head scratching games. Lost a couple. I think we'd been like Kirby in the early years. It would also have depended on our schedule.

Early years? Kirby can’t beat Bama now. I don’t think the SEC will have undefeated champions anymore. They are at the point now where their bottom feeders are not god awful. They have been beating their chest for years when they were really just elite at the top. Ow teams like Mizzo, LSU and TX are really good middle of pack teams. Big Ten is still pretty weak in the bottom third.
ACC has two teams maybe three that look like they could play with decent teams. GA Tech will get a chance to prove that against UGA. Miami is talented but you can’t trust Beck or Cristobal. Louisville is a solid team. The irony is that Bama may not lose another regular season game and FSU may not win again.

While you're on that point Judge, look at Duke also. Look how much they're paying for Mensah and other transfers. People try and make the disingenuous argument that Clemson doesn't have the money to compete, and that is the reason we are down. That is an absolute lie that either comes from people looking for an excuse, or just not knowing what they're talking about.

Those programs are doing well because they identified talented players in the portal with chips on their shoulders, where a lot of our guys are staying healthy for the combine, just my 2 cents. That is not our only problem, but I am just saying that if a kid as getting millions of dollars, his motivation to give 110% might escape him, where the kids not getting the huge payout have a motivaion to play their guts out to prove people wrong an possibly get that bigger payday in the following season.. GT and Louisville have rosters full of them. And we are not the only program struggling with this.

They don't have the money to compete with an Ohio state, alabama, georgia, texas, michigan. So far they've been able to get a few better players to beat other ACC schools.

That's how we know you are a coot. They are the only people who celebrate other teams national championships! Which means they pull for a conference and not a team. Ohio State is a great program just like Alabama. Just like we are. But since they can tell you that those conferences are so great and you believe it. But what's really funny is why would these great teams ever want an ACC player? But every last one of them have one from the portal. Mendoza didn't do anything at Cal. So was it coaching was it the team around him or was it competition? Now if he has left let's say Florida, they would say he's playing lesser competition.
