Embarrassed, but as a PSA from a dad of young teens, stay frosty.
The Greenville area is ripe with trafficking and predators. We confronted one tonight that targeted one of my daughters two weeks ago.
His life will be changing soon.

You shouldn’t be embarrassed if you broke your hand dealing with a predator. My biggest fear is something happening to my teenage daughter.
In hindsight I wish I would’ve gone into law enforcement specializing in human trafficking of teenagers. It’s a problem that gets zero attention from our politicians.

Good to learn your daughter is safe from the POS. I think human trafficing is now a significant issue in most sizeable cities. Youngest daughter took a job few months ago as a floating pharmacist with Publix in the Raleigh area. Had worked a day only job with a specialty pharmacy. Not thrilled about her working late closings and told her to get some mace to carry and try to leave the store with others. If she was my area, would be parked a number of times outside the stores before closing.

regardless of what you carry for self protection, they all say your best weapon is your mind. #1. Try your best to NOT get in a bad situation. If something does not look right, don't go there. One video showed a number of women who walked to their cars in the parking lot who NEVER looked up from their phones. A VAN HAD PULLED UP BESIDE THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR OF HER CAR. When she go to door, the van door slid open, and a guy grabbed her from behind and into the van. THAT QUICK. THe other day I was waiting on Mrs. Spud to come out from Dillard's and I watched people coming out. I bet 80 percent stayed glued to their phones until they got to their cars...About once every two or three years, I get a call to meet someone I have not done business with and it just does not sound right. I can tell you honestly, I don't go. About 7 or 8 years ago, I had a lady call to meet me at a vacant listing I had out in the skirts of Powdersville on a few acres. I met her,and of the car comes a huge mountain of a man. Now, I have self defense on me, but I kept me distance from him. I had one eye on him and one on my phone opening the lockbox. I stepped back and let them go inside, alone. She said they were cash buyers and had to have a house that weekend. Said they loved the house...wanted me to walk the property lines with them. I told them I had not alotted time for that and would have to meet them the next day at 10 AM.I had a friend who was going to come by the next day, just to check on me. They never showed up. Maybe the found something else, maybe not. But, you cannot be too careful.

My daughter was stalked in a store on Woodruff road by a pedophile. My MIL went to the bathroom on the store leaving her alone. He approached her inappropriately and whispered things in her ear. She tried to get away and he persisted. We filed a police report, etc.
My wife went to pick food up last night and my daughter ID'd him sitting outside with his 10 year old son. I followed him around Greenville for two hours because he knew I was following him then he got scared and pulled into a parking lot. The rest you know already.
I've already contacted his wife to let her know and I'm going to contact his employer next.

human, the last thing your daughter needs is for you to go to jail even when rightfully defending her honor. Morally you have all the justification in the world to do what you did, but what you did can land you jail time, and your best advice is to delete everything that you have written because if the guy presses charges and they find out that not only did you hit him, but you followed him around before doing so, they have you dead to rights.

In a red county, BBO has no fears - there's no jury that would convict him. But, in a blue or purple county, you do have to be more careful.. especially in a blue county. Those DA's will come after conservatives and in some cases get convictions.

Definitely. Even in a red county, it can cost you a good lawyers fee to get to the jury. Might lose in a jury trial in a red county. If the judge follows the law, the reason for the assault is not admissable because of the lapse in time.
I would have done same thing. I applaud you brother, but get this off TNet and get a lawyer to help you better recall what actually happened before talking to L.E.

As a PSA it might be helpful to others to share a few details of how your daughter was targeted so we know what to guard against. My two daughters are grown but I have family and friends with teens who I would consider my own in this situation.

Brother, I feel you. As a dad with daughters, my head is on a swivel everywhere we go. It's so prevalent it's disgusting. The dad in me says good on you, and I would have done the same. Unfortunately, my guess is law enforcement won't see it the same way.
I was in a store once with my family and I left them to go get something in another department I had forgotten. I came back and they said there was a guy following them around, peeking around endcaps, peeking through products on the shelves, talking to someone in an earpiece. I found him and went to confront him about it and took off running saying something in Spanish.
To all dads: make sure your daughters know how to defend themselves. There are basic self defense moves that can save their lives.

Very scary! Glad your daughter is ok. About 10 years ago I was in Walmart and in my own little world. I had an elderly lady come up to me and she said ma’am I don’t meant to scare you, but there is a man who is watching and following you. She started following as well to keep an eye on me. Sure enough, I turn around and make eye contact with this man. She insisted I have an employee follow me out, which they did. So thankful to have a guardian angel with me that day. Now I’m a mom of a daughter and my head is always on a swivel!

Since it happened, we've been very deliberate about preparing both of them when they go out. Spoke to a neighbor about it and they too have a daughter (18) that was being followed in the mall last year. Some guy observed it and stepped in to tell her.
Doesn't go with the narrative of a few mutts here that trafficking and preying in young children in the greater Greenville area, but then again, those are just losers who can't attract a mate to have children with them.
Stay safe out there and keep them vigilant.
