Agreed. I do see a really intense, and hateful rivalry brewing with Louisville. Their fans that actually attend the games are pretty good people from my experience, but their team/coach/internet fans are worse than the coots.

I've never been to Louisville but really worse than coots? That's pretty bad. If I had to pick a bad fan base other than coots I would pick GT the worse.

I was not at this seasons game with Louisville, but was at the 14' game in Death Valley, their fans are pleasant and knowledgeable for the most part. I was speaking more towards the constant whining from their coach/players/internet fans. They are very similar to the coots, if not worse imo.

Anonymity gives people the freedom to say things they wouldn't say in person. Many people (myself included) trash other schools on tigernet yet welcome their visiting fans.

That records vs UK is somewhat misleading. Six of UK's victories came prior to 1924, before Louisville even had a football team. Louisville had a 15 person club team that played UK's varsity football team. Not even sure why those 6 victories by UK are even counted but the UK fans won't let them go. UK will also tell you they won the football National Championship in 1951 and they even made up their own trophy to prove it. Of course all official records show they came in 3rd or 4th that year.
The series record since 1994 when both teams started playing again is Louisville 14 - UK 8. It will be 15-8 after this year.

...but I think it takes substantially more than a three game one-sided series to become rivals. We've played SC 113 times, NC St 85 times, GT 82 times, and WF 81 times. Maybe next century Louie.

Seems odd to have 4 separate threads about Louisville just on the front page of this board for a team not considered a rival. Scrolling thru this board it appears all you guys talk about is Louisville. I came here to read your opinions about playing FSU this weekend and all I see is Louisville post.
