Little mentioned observations and perspectives...

Ball security gets running backs in the doghouse fast w/ CM. Fickle and embattled CJ Davidson, running well early, bobbles pitch on what looks like a sure touchdown, and it's probably why he bobbles it - saw too much daylight. Sort of like receivers do sometimes. Gone for the game after this. He also had the key fumble at FSU late that cost us the game (potentially). Other than these aberrations, he runs well and has a good upper gear.
We get to watch and participate in a 12 act drama series, and you have to love it. Each week is another story unlike any other written. Or another first-time stage performance - live. We are spectators, fully immersed in the action, playing our lives out here. It's great....
...oh - offense, lost and wandering lover, apple of our eye, where have you gone, how have you betrayed us? Please return to our waiting arms.
Defense: thank you for saving the team, having all our backs. It's like Football's "Footprints in the sand" or something - those single prints in the sand are defense carrying us during troubles. Relatively few injuries on this side of the ball shows the true meaning of "team" as they continue to rescue us in times of duress. Can you ask for better drama?
Artavis Scott: liking you more and more every time I watch. Sure hands and great, hard fought yards after the catch aren't going unnoticed by this ole' boy.
Kept a nervous eye on the Coots last night, and got a cold reminder that the OBC is going to bring an A play-calling game to the Valley. He was brilliant and played the game like a riverboat gambler, and that's why Carolina was even in this game. Truth be told, he's just a better X and O guy and in-game adjuster and play-caller than we'll ever hope to be, so we'll have to offset this with everything that we have. It's going to take a total effort on both sides of the ball.

Its really all very simple. We are struggling offensively to produce , but getting it done when we need to. Defensively we are swallowing up teams right now , and I am not blind to the case being made that our defense is winning these games . Anyway you slice it , we are 6-2 , have won 5 straight ball games and have what amounts to a bye week coming up before a nice stretch run of 2 roads and 2 homes . Focus on this team , not its weaker sides , but both. That is what teammates do , so why not the fans ?

than who won the game--right? They look at the opponent. Was it a easy win?. They look at O and D. So why shouldn't we critique it all? This game was an ugly win against an inferior opponent.

What's that 14 or 15 now? Climbing out of the FSU crater admirably.
