Exactly what I was thinking about Dabo, if that's what Dabo wants. Although this could be a $ play.

Yeah, Dabo needs to get on the stick with this one or we’ll lose him. Geez, is it just me or does it not seem like since the last Natty we won with massive salary increases, recruiting has actually fallen off? These guys get paid a lot of money to be losing recruits so easily to some of our rivals.

Absolutely nobody who is considering engineering should even consider sc if Clemson is the other choice. Something is wrong with this scenario. I really am amused that sc would be in a conversation of a person who was interested in engineering. This sounds like sc selling snake oil to this young man. Hope he's smarter than that.

We need to move on to the next prospect that is rated higher on our board unless the WR & he are a two player deal.

If that's the case, then why offer at all? This guy must have something the coaches see as an area this young man can make a difference. I see your point, but I don't have all the particulars, so I'll trust their judgement. (Especially since Streeter has moved on). I was so ready for a change, and changes can be great. They, also, can be mistakes. I'm hoping and praying this new OC has the right ideas aboutour future needs and how to secure them. Time will tell. The one thing I am suer of is that that Streeter was not the guy to make the decision.

Any chance that he has not been given admission into Clemson’s engineering program?
Mr. Franks has not yet started his HS senior year yet.
Maybe S.Carolina’s lower rated engineering program accepts HS juniors into their program … especially if the HS junior in question is an athlete.
Just asking … I don’t know.

They do not have a recognizable Engineering program, other than maybe holding the construction signs we see when traffic is delayed, holding signs about which lane can proceed and which lane must wait until another usc grad holds the flag saying that the other lane can proceed.

With all the back and forth with this kid of Beamer saying this, and Thomas Austine saying that, and the classmates with one with the coots and the other with the Tigers and both pulling in their direction, I to think that Dabo needs to have an in person talk with this recruit and both his parents, and after that is done with just say nothing else and let this guy go with who he personally believes will be in his best interest, and if he screws that up, it's on him and his parents of the choice they make. One recruit will not make a team unless this guy is so good that he can play every position equally as good as the other. And other than that, Dabo and Austin should just set back and let the kid make his choice regardless of what it is. Good if we get him and good if we don't bc he is just one recruit out of the 27 that Dabot will make room for!!!!

I believe he’s a gamecock or he would have already committed to us cause we don’t have any ol yet for 2024. Think he’s looking to see if Carolina picks anymore. Plus he should look at Beamer using the portal and he may not see the field at all. Article in state paper states sc has overtaken clemson for his services currently

I know and trust Dabo's great ability to recruit, reading between the lines sounds like he needs to get a little more involved in this one.

I think it says a lot that Shane is the one in contact and we are letting a GA and Thomas talked to him a “little”. Doesn’t sound like he’s very high on our list. I’d be curious to see what our OL board looks like.

My thoughts exactly...his "a little bit" comments says it all. And don't got doubting Dabo, etc...if the kid was high on our board he'd be getting all the attention needed. And I hate to say it...but any kid that's even having a slight deliberation in their head between Clemson and usuc is likely not a Clemson guy.

Clemson doesn’t seem to have the interest that usc does. Looks like they have had more coaches contact him and Clemson Austin and a GA. He’s ranked somewhere in the 400 range I am positive Dabo has better players on the board. If it was N.C. State and not usc no one would care

Not a good look if he commits elsewhere. In our conference, we’ve been out recruited by Miami and maybe even Florida State. Wake up staff!

he's probably thinking about those transfer players the "dirtpeckers" like to bring in that will put him on the bench. You must always choose wisely.

Everyone commenting on Dabo not stepping up or that a GA is the lead recruiter, might tell you that Clemson isn’t interested. Or it could be a situation where it’s all about NIL and Favo isn’t interested in playing that game with this particular player.
I have no idea but I’d guess if this was a guy Clemson was clamoring over, Dabo/Riley/Austin….would be all over him.

Yep, if this recruit don't understand that it's a privilege to get offered by a school that has been in the playoffs more than any other school with the exception of Bama, and Bama isn't recruiting him. If our coaches have to what sounds like beg him to Clemson, well then, we would be better off without him, and he and the coots deserve each other, period!!!
