Les told Dabo at postgame handshake, "I'm on your side".

Is that directed toward Dabo being sort of mocked in the coaching world?

Just seemed like an odd comment. It's not like Dabo's about to get fired.

Maybe it just means he likes what Dabo stands for and appreciates him as a person/coach.

Thought it was another classy move by Les.***

Possibly related to Clemson's admittance to the SEC.

Didn't think of that, but you could be on to something.***

From reading Dabo's comments the 2 really seemed

to develop a kinship with all the time they spent together this week. Each are portrayed as fools, by fools, so their is bound to be some sort of kindred spirit there. LSU is a program where 10-3 is a disappointing season, that's a pretty strong program.Clemson took a huge step forward last night in establishing itself as a national presence. Both also hired by Terry Don Phillips, another guy portrayed as a fool, by fools. Bottom line, they are both winners.

Agreed.

Both stand up for their guys and take responsibility on themselves as well. Unlike a certain coach down the road. You know that other instate school down south that has a different sort of culture all together. ;)

Players love playing for both, which says a lot to me

You look at how our e-players from under Dabo still connect with the program, and that's special. Same way at LSU

"I'm" on your side"......."I think Spurrier is a ####### too!"

Spurrier.

Jan 1, 2013, 1:04 PM

Could also very much be related to Dabo v. Spurrier comments in the media. The biggest story of Clemson for people outside of both programs lately has been their war of words in the media, the whole "which Death Valley" thing and such. I think Miles was basically saying "I know Spurrier also and I think you've got the right idea." Miles is also seen as a players' coach who is little offbeat and a coach who lets his positive emotions take hold of him during interviews, very similar to Dabo.
