Has been very shaky and wild at times this year but he can be really good when he has his command in a given day and with how shaky we have been with arms later in a week he needs more opportunities because he can be effective at times definitely underused. I think we will need him in Regionals/Supers

My impression is he’s good until he’s feeling pressure from base runners. Then things get dicey. The defense has to play clean for him or it can spiral into another free 90 or two. Thus, in relief he really needs to be used as takeover at the start of an inning.

Bailey seems to have hit the wall. A combo of better teams and overuse. He’s a bullpen guy that had good starts from Tech through NC State. All the rotation reconfiguration and injuries have made a jumble of the bullpen. Someone’s gotta step up to add more depth. McGovern has but 1 or more guys need to as well. Would love for Leguernic to because he is the power arm that is missing. He really needs to figure out command/control.

When SCar won their first CWS they were all but waving the white flag when they trotted out Michael Roth. He had been buried on the bench and had been shellacked earlier that season by Clemson. They wanted to get a few innings out of him. He remade himself as a junk baller that threw utter garbage that college batters couldn’t resist swinging at and became one of the most dominant college pitchers. To win a CWS somebody has to step up and play above their station. It’s the nature of the tournament.
