Clemson and VT both ACC. Noore negative about our conference. Ultimately I don't care about the ACC unless it affects the national perception of Clemson.

ACC is now clearly 5th of the power 5 conferences though.

Right, and the ACC beat up the SEC East in November...so where does that leave your Gamecocks?

That last Saturday that the ACC went 4-0 against the pathetic SEC Least - can we declare that some type of national holiday or something? Weren't they supposed to be all that? Are were they all just full of chit?

ACC killed the SEC East...the SEC West got steamrolled during bowl season. I'd say the SEC has been full of sh!t the last 10 years.

How you figure?
Big 10 is still durn weak. Ohio State is an elite team, obviously. Michigan State is Top-15. Wisconsin is Top-25. The rest of that conference is goshawful.
Big 12 is seriously overrated as well. TCU and Baylor are good, Top-10 teams this year. K-State was decent, maybe Top-20. Nebraska might finish ranked. The rest of that conference - including Oklahoma and Texas, traditional powers - are not good. And defense seems almost as optional in much of the Big 12 as it is in the Pac-12.
The ACC had two Top-10 teams - FSU, Georgia Tech - this past year, and Clemson will finish Top-15, again. Louisville was also pretty good.
The Pac-12 has a bunch of flashy offenses, but people underestimate the California small-school effect on defenses. Instead of a few big high schools, the state of California - which populates the vast majority of the rosters across the Pac-12 - has a bunch of very small high schools that average about 1,000 students apiece...what that means is, there's a ton more teams instead of conglomerated big ones, and the best athletes tend to grab the offensive positions first. So the Pac-12 tends to be loaded with QB's and skill-position players...and they tend to be very weak on defense. Which means that they break scoreboards against one another and against weak (or confused) defenses...but when they run into teams that match up athletically on defense - as Oregon did tonight, or against Auburn in 2011 - their offenses tend to look like swallows that just flew into a glass door. Thud.
Still say the Big 10 is the weakest conference, though Ohio State, obviously, can play with and beat anybody. But them and Spartie were all that haven been propping that conference up this year...and the past few years.
