I am friends with one of our players dad and he says the coaches do not like giving the other team the ball on the 25. They would rather try to pin them deeper. I agree kick it in the end zone every chance you get do not let the other team get mo back on their side.

Someone on the team isn't capable? Would be worth giving a soccer player the job of no one can.
Someone on the team has to have the leg I would think. IDC if its Wilkins.

our kicker was a freshman. this year he is a soph. would guess his leg is stronger. just a guess. maybe the times he doesnt kick it in the endzone maybe we can cover better. plenty of reasons a ball cant make it in the end zone every time.

You not only do not understand football, but you don't even understand sports in general and the ability of humans.
In baseball, no pitcher can throw a strike on the corner every time he wants to do it (I know because I was one and tried) and no batter can hit every pitch in the strike zone (I know because even though I had the highest batting average on my team, I've tried but couldn't).
In football, no player can make a perfect block every time (I know because I played the game and tried), no QB can throw every ball on the money and no receiver can catch every ball thrown to him (I know, because I played the position and tried my best).
In golf, no player can make every putt or hit every shot square (I know because I've played the game pretty well and tried).
In track, no sprinter can run his fastest time every day (I know because I was one and I've tried).
In tennis, no player can hit the tape every time with his "Ace" serve (I know because I've played the game well and tried).
Given the odds of perfect human execution on every attempt, there will be times that a kickoff doesn't make the back of the end zone - even without considering prevailing winds against it. When you add in the times that wind is a factor, making a deep kick impossible for even the best, you'd better have a Plan B - which is how to defend the kick return. We have not played really good KO return defense for a long time, although we are improving. Sometimes, I even thought because we could usually kick it deep, we got spoiled and lackadaisical because we didn't think anyone would be able to return the kick and when they did, we weren't prepared. Some will remember that for a long time I have been critical of the lack of discipline shown by our gunners on kick coverage and I was most vocal in my criticism of Daniel Rodriguez, who was too eager, took bad angles and got sucked into the middle while the ball carrier ran around him to the outside. The coaches finally moved him one spot to the inside and our kick coverage improved. We are a bit better now, but we sometimes leave the middle open (hello 'Bama) and sometimes still take bad outside angles. If anything, we sometimes are overly aggressive and forget that coverage has lane and gap responsibility, just like run defense. Punt coverage is similar, although the punter (in my opinion) has far more to do with coverage results than a kicker on kickoffs.
So, while it would be nice if your wish could be granted, it can't and won't be - so I suggest that you instead ask for better coaching and player discipline on kick coverage and receiving.
